🌍💚 ECO CHURCH UPDATE – WHAT AN AMAZING SUMMER! 💚🌍
As our School Uniform Exchange summer activity comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate what has been achieved by our amazing community.
Over the last 6 weeks, our Uniform Exchange has:
🎒 Given out over 2,000 items of school uniform
👨👩👧👦 Supported over 200 families
💷 Estimated cost savings of over £43,000
🌱 Approximately over 515kg of textile waste diverted from landfill
And behind every one of those numbers is a story — a family who has saved money, a child who has received the uniform they need, and clothing that has been reused rather than becoming waste.
This is exactly why our Eco Church work matters to us.
As Christians, caring for creation isn't simply about recycling more or using less. It is about recognising that everything we have is a gift from God and that we have a responsibility to care for what He has entrusted to us.

Stewardship means looking after God's creation, but it also means looking after one another. The Uniform Exchange brings those two things together beautifully — reducing waste, caring for our environment and supporting families in our local community. 🌱❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated clean, good-quality uniform, to the local schools who have supported us with donations and collection points, to Morley Leisure Centre for being an additional drop-off point, and especially to our wonderful volunteers who have given their time and energy throughout the summer.
For now, our volunteers are taking a well-earned opportunity to rest and recharge while we restock and catch up with the donations that have recently arrived.
