In remembrance of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj and the countless Sikh men, women, and children who gave their lives during the events of 1984, we invite you to join us for an evening of Katha, Simran and Kirtan.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s Shaheedi teaches us the timeless Sikh principle of standing firmly with truth, justice and faith, regardless of the cost. The sacrifices of 1984 remind us of the resilience of the Panth and the responsibility we carry to remember, reflect and remain connected to our history.

Join us as we come together in remembrance, prayer and collective reflection through Gurbani, Simran and Katha.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Sardar Harcharan Singh Bhambra (Chana).

Harcharan Singh came to Leeds at the age of 17 and became one of the early committee members of the Leeds Sikh Temple in 1962, contributing towards the growth and foundations of the local Sikh community.

He was also a well known hockey player for the Leeds Corinthian and the Sikh Union Hockey Clubs and will be remembered fondly by many who knew him through both seva and sport.

In the early 1960s, his mother also played a special part in the community by making the Sikh Union hockey kits by both hand stitching and machine, reflecting the dedication and spirit of those early pioneering families in Leeds.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones at this difficult time.
