Towards Ihsan: Our Journey to Allah – Leeds Event at Makkah Masjid
The Shadhili Foundation will be bringing its UK tour, “Towards Ihsan: Our Journey to Allah,” to Leeds for a special evening of remembrance, reflection and spiritual growth.
The event will take place at Makkah Masjid, 36 Thornville Road, Leeds, LS6 1JY, on Tuesday 14 July 2026, with the programme starting at 7:00pm.
This gathering is part of a wider national journey, marking Event 18 of 25 in the tour. It will be held in the company of His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi, offering attendees an opportunity to reconnect with the deeper purpose of worship, remembrance and closeness to Allah.
The theme of the event focuses on the path towards Ihsan, a state of excellence in faith where a person worships Allah with presence, sincerity and awareness. In a world full of distraction, pressure and restlessness, the event invites the community to reflect on a powerful question:
What if the solution to your struggles is not more distraction, but more dhikr?
Dhikr, the remembrance of Allah, has always been a source of peace, healing and stability for the heart. Long before modern society began to recognise the effects of anxiety, restlessness and spiritual emptiness, Islam prescribed remembrance as a cure for the soul. This event will explore how reconnecting with Allah through dhikr can help individuals find clarity, calm and purpose in their daily lives.
The evening is presented by The Shadhili Foundation and supported by a number of sponsors and community partners, including Makkah Masjid Leeds Muslim Council, Network IT, IAC, Peace Matters, Al Fateh Academy, and Taqva Advisory.
Community members, families, students and anyone seeking spiritual renewal are encouraged to attend. The event promises to be an uplifting evening centred on faith, reflection and the journey towards a more meaningful relationship with Allah.
