As temperatures rise, Leeds City Council has launched a new network of free Cool Spaces across the city. Located in selected libraries, community hubs, leisure centres and neighbourhood network venues, these welcoming indoor spaces offer somewhere to cool down, rest, and access free drinking water during hot weather.
Hot weather can affect both physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for older people, young children and people with long-term health conditions.
If youβre looking for ways to stay well this summer, take a look at their Summer Wellbeing page for practical tips and advice, and visit the Leeds City Council Welcome Spaces webpage to find a Cool Space near you. Our Welcome/Cool Spaces are open on a Monday and Thursday. See poster for more details!
