Middleton Park Baptist Church, on Middleton park Avenue, Ls10 4HT would like to let people know that the craft and games event that should have been held this Sunday will not go ahead this Sunday due to concerns about the weather, but will be postponed to next sunday the 19th January 2-4 pm when there will be craft, board games and free refreshments. Anybody is welcome to attend and the event is free. Following the event there is also a mini service at 4pm which is also open to all.

They are sorry to postpone but want to be cautious about people's safety. They are also expecting that the film night on 24th January at 6pm will go ahead as expected.

We would like to announce that the funeral of Robin Silverwood will be held at Middleton park baptist church at 11.45 am on Thursday 18th July.
We continue to remember the family in our prayers and to give thanks for the life of this very special man who touched so many people's lives.

All of us at Middleton park baptist church were deeply saddened to hear of Robin Silverwoods passing . He was a generous, kind and loving man who was a pillar of the local community and also in later years a dearly loved regular member of our congregation. He will be deeply missed. Our prayers go out to Marlene and the whole family at this time as well as to his many friends, who we also count ourselves privileged to be included in.
May God wrap his arms of loving comfort around everybody who is grieving at this time. Robin recently said to me in hospital, holding his wooden cross that he loved so much, that he felt the presence of Jesus with him as his friend and he told me that though he loved life he was not afraid of death for he knew he would be with his friend and Saviour.

After only recently coming back out of hospital and then needing to go back in, his passing has come as a shock to many of us , so we pray that the Lord will comfort us all with his presence and the knowledge that Robin is safe with the Lord in whom he put his trust.
