Welcome to the freshest day of the year after our full soul cleansing yesterday!

Loads coming up with Nefesh Leeds, we'll be posting about that soon, and in the meantime, please book in for this incredibly special event - Dr Alan Morinis, Founder of The Mussar Institute will be in LEEDS on Sunday 1 November.

Favourite day of the year? it's a clean slate, a fresh start after our 25 hour retreat into our souls with Yom Kippur.

Join us for Yom Kippur! Full day of programming including reflection, meditation, prayer, Torah, the Book of Jonah, a sound bath, connection and ritual.

Sunday 20 Sept Kol Nidre - beginning of Yom Kippur:

Fast comes in at 6.51pm, service starts 7.30pm

Monday 21 Sept Yom Kippur

We will start at 10.30am (kids very welcome to everything - except the sound bath at 4pm)

Children only activities and a service from 11am

1pm walk

2.15pm Je suis Jonah - taking a deep dive into the story of Jonah and asking what does it teach us about who we choose to be?

4pm Sound Bath (you must book for this - please see the post in the members' group on Nefesh Leeds website/app)

5.30pm Yizkor (memorial service)

6.30pm Neilah (closing)

When I asked my mentor rabbi in LA about planning for the HHDs, she said t me; "Anna, get a sound bath for Yom Kippur- everyone in LA is having a sound bath this year" so, OK, I've booked a sound bath!

You will be taken on a journey with sound, across the globe. From the flow of the ocean, to the nurturing sound of the shamanic flute, to the jungle or tropical rain forest.

Booking ESSENTIAL - you can book just the sound bath, or for just a little bit more, you can have access to everything we're offering over the High Holydays.

Been spotting our Nefesh Leeds posts and curious but not come to something yet? Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur are the perfect time!

Student Rabbi Anna Dyson with others are planning beautiful, meaningful, taking our time with the prayers and liturgy, discussion and creative ritual to welcome in the new year and journey together from Rosh HaShanah (well, actually a week before to get ready with Selichot) to Yom Kippur...

*Mikvah Night at the Turkish Baths (Thurs 17 Sept)

*Kol Nidre the night before YK (Sunday20 Sept)

*Yom Kippur including nature walk and deep relaxing meditative sound bath (Monday 21 Sept)
