On Sunday 29 March, devotees at BAPS Leeds came together to celebrate the divine birth anniversaries of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan and Bhagwan Shri Ramachandra.

Great British Spring Clean at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leeds



On Saturday 28 March 2026, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leeds proudly took part in the Great British Spring Clean, a nationwide initiative led by Keep Britain Tidy, bringing together 17 dedicated volunteers, to help keep the area clean and welcoming.



His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, who reminds us of our civic duty to serve our communities, the day reflected the spirit of working together for the greater good.

“Leeds has a rich, proud and unique history, and this year marks 400 years celebrations, since King Charles I granted the city its first charter., but what really makes it such a special place is the people who live here, who have each played their part it making it such a vibrant, diverse and exciting city. show everyone exactly what this year and this city means to them

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making a meaningful difference. Together, a cleaner and greener Leeds is being built.

🌟 On Sunday 30 November 2025, we were honoured to observe the 104th birth anniversary of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, centred on the theme “Pramukh Swami Maharaj: Beyond the ‘i’”, in the presence of Pujya Santo.
✨ The utsav provided a reflective tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s profound humility, lifelong devotion and were showcased through skits, talks by volunteers and Swamis alike, and unwavering commitment to selfless service. His values continue to inspire and guide us.

MAHANT SWAMI MAHARAJ 92ND BIRTH ANNIVERSARY HIGHLIGHTS

On Sunday 21 September 2025, devotees gathered to celebrate Mahant Swami Maharaj’s 92nd birth anniversary.

The programme highlighted his divine love, service, and spirituality through thoughtful talks, and beautiful monologues by the devotees of BAPS Leeds.

Children also recited Sanskrit shloks from the Satsang Diksha, reflecting their wish to uphold his dedication to nurturing dharma (duty) and culture in the next generation.

Swamis from Neasden Temple were also present, with Pujya Aksharsankalpdas Swami & Pujya Tyagprakashdas Swami sharing insights into Mahant Swami Maharaj’s tireless vicharan, even at the age of 92, driven by his love for devotees.

We ended the joyous occasion with a procession and Pushpanjali at the lotus feet of our beloved Guru.

Thank you to all the participants - from young children and teenagers to adults and the elderly - for completing today's BAPS Annual Charity Challenge, despite the adverse weather conditions.

🤝 With great energy and community spirit, everyone enjoyed a scenic walk through the Temple Newsham Park – all united in support of a meaningful cause.

This year’s Challenge is supporting a range of BAPS initiatives across the UK, as well as BAPS national charity partner, Children with Cancer UK – the country’s leading childhood cancer charity. We also raised funds for our local charity partner - Leeds Mencap to supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs, and their families and carers.
