On Saturday 6th June, 37 of our younger parishioners received Our Blessed Lord in Holy Communion for the first time at special Masses in our church. This is a great day for these parishioners, their families, their catechists and the parish family. We extend our deepest congratulations to them all on attaining this momentous milestone of faith.

On Monday 8th June the parish continued the centuries old tradition of carrying the Blessed Sacrament in procession.

After a Votive Mass of the Most Holy Eucharist Christi the Blessed Sacrament was carried from our church to our school where a Benediction sbervice was held. This tradition is a public profession of our Catholic faith in the real presence of Christ in the Holy Sacrament. We wish to extend our thanks to the children, their teachers and classroom assistants and parishioners who took part.

Today, 104 years after it was made, 12 years after the parish acquired it and 7 years after the first formal request to dispose of it was made, we said goodbye to the Orgue de Choeur (c 1922) by the French builder Le Mintier and Gloton of Nantes. It has gone to be refurbished before being reassembled in its new home which we trust will be better suited to its idiosyncrasies and the role for which it was designed; as a chapel organ designed to accompany the singing in a French convent. Having moved its replacement into place we discover that the sanctuary is now visible by all the congregation who can now easily see the Baptismal font once again.

Last weekend we welcomed Fr Ben Hilton to our parish as our Parochial Administrator until 31 August 2026. The parish is very grateful to Fr Hilton for stepping into the breach created by his predecessor's departure and the parish welcomed him to the sunny uplands and elysian fields of Yeadon at all 3 Masses in the usual warm manner.
