Having seen all the lovely photos of people meeting her Grace Sarah Mullally the Archbishop of Canterbury this week, we thought we'd share our picture too. In her video from Herefordshire she mentioned partnering with the Methodist Church, having visited the Butty Van, and having had a conversation with us about Soul Space in Bromyard. The Butty Van is an initiative of Borderlands Rural Chaplaincy - https://www.borderchaplain.org/ a partnership between West Midlands Methodists and Hereford Diocese. Soul Space is Children's work in Bromyard, a partnership between Bromyard Methodists and the Hereford Diocese Youth Hubs team. https://www.herefordshiremethodists.org.uk/soulspace.html

An elderly but still confident member of our church was out shopping early on Monday 13th July in Ledbury Town.

As she started to return home she encountered difficulties finding dropped kerbs to use, with her scooter/buggy.

She eventually used the Worcester Road but found " bollards" on the pavement, preventing her using the path easily.

She sadly ended up on the Worcester Road itself. Very quickly a young male appeared, having stopped his car.

He held up the traffic and helped her back onto her buggy and she travelled on home.

Unbeknown to her to start with, this young man , followed , at a distance and eventually, they went back to her home together, to her door into the house and into the safe hands of her husband.

She would like to say Thank you to Sam,whom she described as her Guardian "Angel", who was so kind, thoughtful and helpful.

If this is you or you know Sam, please tell him, she is extremely grateful for his kindness and help and she wishes him well.
