Sunday 24th May 2026 - 10:30am Joint Pentecost Service St Michael and All Angels
There’s a long tradition of churches coming together to celebrate Pentecost — what many of us once called Whitsun, complete with a Bank Holiday Monday!
This year, the churches of Ledbury will gather for a United Pentecost Service at St Michael and All Angels Church on Pentecost Sunday, celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.
We are delighted to welcome our guest preacher this year, Bishop Richard Jackson (The Rt Revd Richard Jackson, Bishop of Hereford)
The service will be led by lay people from across our churches, with music led by a joint worship band drawn from several congregations. Following the service, refreshments of tea, coffee, and cakes will be served.
As the service falls over the Bank Holiday weekend, we are sorry that we are unable to offer children’s activities this time, as many of our volunteers are away. However, do keep an eye out for the LEAF children’s activities later in the summer.
Everyone is very warmly welcome. Please be seated in good time for a prompt 10:30am start.
We look forward to seeing the churches of Ledbury worshipping together. Please come and join us.

Do you remember your time in Sunday School or Junior Church? What good memories or good stories can you share? What questions did you ask?
This Sunday, we had a lovely time in JC today. We were learning about the disciples and their encounter with Jesus at the Lake. We tried some ‘fishing’ using magnets and had a serious discussion about what Jesus and the disciples might have talked about over the fish breakfast! “What do you want us to do next?” “Will we see you again?” “How did you know where the fish were?” “Why didn’t the net break?” and wondering about the story – “Why did they fish at night?” “Why was John the favourite?” “Why didn’t they recognise Jesus?” The children keep us on our toes!
