Join us next Saturday, 12th September for Heritage Open Day at St Mary's Fetcham. Visit our 11th Century Grade II listed church situated next to Fetcham Park House and admire our conserved painting of the Charles II Royal Coat of Arms with detail and colour not seen for nearly 400 years since its creation.

Combine your visit to St Mary's Church with next door Fetcham Park House and it's tranquil grounds and Fetcham Reading Room in the village. No booking required.

Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 local people and organisations, and thousands of volunteers.

Every year in September, thousands of people come together across England to celebrate their heritage, community and history. Stories are told, traditions explored, and histories brought to life. It's your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it's all FREE.

All are welcome to pop into the church or The Bothy (the brick building at the end of our driveway near Lower Road) this weekend for a moment of prayer or quiet contemplation. We have prayer stations to help prompt you, and anyone can visit during the day.

If you want to be part of the chain of prayer in The Bothy please book a slot by signing up. There are a few spaces left for Sunday afternoon. You will see how many spaces are available. Ignore the FREE.

Our Sunday morning services will take place as usual:
• The 8am is a quiet, said communion service in traditional language.
• The 9.30am is a formal communion service with choir and organ.
• The 11.15am is a more relaxed/informal service with a small band.

The weekend will conclude with an evening service in church starting at 6pm where we will bring our prayers together.

All are welcome to join us for any or many parts of the weekend.

This September Messy Church at St Mary's goes Wild - Thursday 10th September 3:30pm.

As part of our Creationtide Harvest Celebrations we look forward to a time to being outside, having natural crafts, time to explore Fetcham and our world around us in a fun and messy way.

Messy Church is a church for all ages, where we explore our faith through creativity, celebration and hospitality.

St Mary's Families Team organise this on the 2nd Thursday of the month and they would love to meet you!

Please be mindful the car park will be being used for our session this month, you are still able to park along the drive.

Are you worried about the troubles of the world? Join us to create a chain of continuous prayer over the weekend of Saturday 5th September beginning at 6am and ending on Sunday 6th September with an evening service at 6pm.

We will have prayer stations in church to help prompt you, and where anyone can visit during the day.

There will also be a quiet prayer space in The Bothy at the end of our driveway near Lower Road.

St Mary’s are looking ahead to the Autumn and thinking about Harvest. All are welcome to join us for a social occasion and to take the opportunity to celebrate your local farm at Harvest time.

Come along to Barracks Farm, Cobham Road between 11:30 to 14:00

This is a fantastic social opportunity, plus talks & walk around the farm with the farmer highlighting environmental, ethical and community benefits, including buying locally and reducing food miles.

Enjoy BBQ burgers and sausages 12:00 -13:30. Everyone is welcome, but to get an idea of numbers expected please sign up with a minimal £4 per person.
