We rejoice with Mr John (Ian) Blair who recently celebrated his 100th birthday! Ian says that there is no secret to reaching 100 years old, as everyone has their lifetime allocated to them by God regardless of how long (or short) that is. Ian is thankful for the good health he has been blessed with over the years, and his advice is that we shouldn't dwell on things. One of Ian's favourite Psalms is Psalm 100, and through it we praise God for this very special birthday!
All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
Him serve with mirth, His praise forth tell,
Come ye before him and rejoice.
Psalm 100 vs 1-2

Joyless Christianity is not attractive to those outside the church, yet this is the impression that many Christians and churches give. This sermon considers what caused the transformation of the hearts of the two on the Emmaus road, and consequently how Christians may be joyful.
