Borders Battalion BB Camp The Boys' Brigade Battalion runs a Camp for boys of secondary school age each August. Above all, we believe the week should be fun!

The Boys' Brigade Scottish Borders Battalion has been running camps for boys of secondary age for almost 20 years, although this itself has evolved from the original Hawick Company camps which have run continuously for over 80 years. Recently we have been based at the Fylde and District Scout Headquarters in Lytham St Anne's. This location gives us the very best mix of seclusion and outdoors campi

ng with the nearby attractions of St Anne's and Blackpool. We try to organise the camp at an affordable price in order to allow as many boys' as possible to enjoy the benefits of outdoor living! The weather is normally good... The camp is open to any Boys' Brigade boy of secondary school age. The Boys' Brigade vision is that children and young people can live "life to the full", expressing our belief in young people as the solution and not the problem and, as a Christian movement, our commitment to sharing and exploring faith. We believe BB summer camp plays a large part in this work, empowering children and young people by involving them in decision making at all levels and giving responsibility appropriate to their age and aptitude. We challenge and enable children and young people to engage with the needs of others (especially other young people) locally, nationally and globally, encouraging them to participate in activities and projects in which they can make a difference. Hopefully, you will be able to share in all of this, through our page, designed to give updates and promote the work we do and the fun we have. Boys Brigade Galashiels (Help Needed)

After many years of serving local young people, the last remaining Boys’ Brigade company in Galashiels has sadly closed but as the Scottish Borders Battalion, we don’t want to leave it too long and risk losing the interest of boys and families in the area.
We’re keen to see Boys Brigade continue in Galashiels and are working to make that happen!

We’re looking for leaders and helpers who are passionate about supporting children and young people, helping them grow in confidence, skills, and faith.

Leaders and helpers need to have a Christian faith (of any denomination) and be willing to go through the PVG check and Boys’ Brigade & Church of Scotland safeguarding process.

We’re aiming to start the new company in the New Year, but we need to begin getting people registered and through the process now so that we’re ready to go with a full team in place, also looking at Monday nights to start with.
