⛈️ ⚡️🌊 JESUS STILLS STORMS. By throwing himself into the storm of God's judgement against sin, Jesus is able to calm the storm of chaos and curse. One day he will say 'Quiet! Be still' to all that rages and ravages this world, and for those trusting in him, all will be well forevermore. 🏖 🏝

Before we prayed this evening, we sang this together - a rich reminder of the vast love God offers to all who put their faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins:

1 Come, let us sing of a wonderful love,
tender and true,
out of the heart of the Father above,
streaming to me and to you:
wonderful love
dwells in the heart of the Father above.

2 Jesus, the Saviour, this gospel to tell,
joyfully came,
came with the helpless and hopeless to dwell,
sharing their sorrow and shame;
seeking the lost,
saving, redeeming at measureless cost.

3 Jesus is seeking the wanderers yet;
why do they roam,
Love only waits to forgive and forget;
home, weary wanderers, home!
Wonderful love
dwells in the heart of the Father above.

4 Come to my heart, O thou wonderful Love,
come and abide,
lifting my life till it rises above
envy and falsehood and pride;
seeking to be
lowly and humble, a learner of thee.

THE PERFRCT FUTURE...

▫️No sickness
▫️No suffering
▫️No evil
▫️No lack
▫️World peace

🌍 We all long for the perfect future...for all to be well within and without us.

💔 But we all know such a future is impossible to secure - NO ONE in history has managed it.

✝️ But according to the Bible, a perfect future is possible. What we can't bring about, God can - the world as it was always meant to be and even better.

❓️ THE FUTURE – how do you feel about it? Hopeful? Or hopeless? Upbeat? Or downcast? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could foresee the future? Better still, control it? Angst gone. Dread and despair lifted.

🌍 Well, what we can’t do – God can. He can secure the future we’re all looking and longing for. To all who trust in him, he promises a NEW world. The world as it was always meant to be – bright, beautiful, blissful.

THE FATHER'S LOVE | When anyone RUNNING from God RETURNS to God, how does he welcome them? Well, like a Father welcoming a long lost son.

❤️ CAN GOD LOVE ME? Maybe at times you've wondered that - after all I've done, can GOD really love someone like me?

💥 The wonderful message of the Bible is that he can! God doesn't have to work to love, because he IS love. And we don't have to work to be loved by God - he has done all the work so we can eternally live in his love.

Will you choose to come to him and live in his love?
