The Dynasty Church Lancaster

The Dynasty Church Lancaster Welcome to The Dynasty Church Lancaster, (Church on the Ridge). CHARITY REG: 1214265 Its destructive effects are seen and felt in nearly every corner of life.

We are a growing church on the Ridge Estate, a place “Where You Discover Who You Are" We are a member of the Harvest Alliance UK, and the Evangelical Alliance UK. God Loves us and offers Salvation – We live in a fallen world as a result of sin. It erodes lives, destroys relationships and separates people from God. Because of this, we all need to be set free from sin and made right with God. This p

rocess of being saved and cleansed from sin is what Jesus called “being born-again.” The Bible teaches that this gift of salvation brings eternal life. This is the most central message of Christianity and the most important decision anyone can make.

"14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”

17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:14-19)

Continuing our series on Knowing Jesus last Sunday, Pastor Ayo spoke on ‘Lone Encounters’ with Jesus. Using the examples of Jacob Wrestling with God, Genesis 32:22-32 and Moses encountering God in a burning bush, Exodus 3:1-4.

When we are intentional about being alone with Jesus, ‘turning aside’ Exodus 3:4, we experience a deeper revelation of Him, and we are not the same person. A significant change takes place.

Jacob walked with a limp after his encounter with God. There is always a cost, and sometimes we have to leave things behind, but when we lose something, we gain something in its place.

Ayo closed with this question. In what area of your life are you finding it difficult to turn aside so that your spiritual senses can respond to God’s revelation for you?

This Sunday, we will be continuing with our Knowing Jesus preaching series. This will be the second talk in the series. In the first talk, Pastor Ayo spoke about the importance of our personal relationship and alone time with Jesus.

We looked at Psalm 42 and considered,
do we have the kind of desperation for God that David had? We need to create a sanctuary for ourselves, free of distractions, so we can be alone with God.

He closed with these questions which are good ones to ponder. What is the strength of your personal alone time with God? When were you last alone with Jesus?

All are welcome to join us this Sunday at 10.30.

Last Sunday, we had a change from our usual services and celebrated our Pastor Ayo’s 50th Birthday. It was a wonderful service, and it was great to be joined by some of our wider church family and Mission Partners. Worship was led by Tomi and David Hindmoor.

We were joined by Bro. Imoh Ussenudoh, who brought a powerful message. He challenged us to ‘come back to our closet with God’ and ask Him to show us what we’ve done. There was an encouragement to keep going with the things we are growing tired of doing. There is still much for us to do for God’s kingdom.

Some of us are called to be Watchmen like Ezekiel was a watchman over Israel.
This is a challenging call, but a significant one. We will need to have boldness to say no to things that are wrong and be ‘awake in prayer when others are sleeping.’

This Sunday, 10.30am at Church on The Ridge, we are continuing with our Family Fellowship Sunday’s. As a church we are studying the book, ‘Right People, Right Place, Right Plan.’ By Jentezen Franklin. We have felt greatly encouraged through it in discerning God’s voice and direction for our lives. Why don't you join us this Sunday and let's share together? Have a blessed week.
