This weekend we're lucky enough to have another guest speaker!

Many of us know Edd well, as he was part of our church community for many years - he is a gifted evangelist and it will be so good to have him visit us and bring some inspiration and equipping on the topic of Evangelism.

Edd has been doing loads of work and research around this topic for a number of years and has some real insight, wisdom and practical experience that will really help us as we seek to share the Gospel with those we know. He will be preaching on Sunday morning on “Mission as an Act of Worship"

On Sunday evening from 7.15pm - 9pm at St Tees Centre, Edd will also be running a workshop on 'Practical ways to point 'The Way'' - No need to book a place but do get this in your diary because it's not one to miss!

This Sunday we are lucky enough to have Simon and Catrina Bentham visiting us here at City Church!

Simon and Catrina are leaders from Kerith Church, a multi-site church that originated in Bracknell, and are also part of 24/7 Prayer and its growing church network called 'tribe' with over 30 churches beginning to be directly involved, including ourselves at CCL.

Simon has been the senior pastor at Kerith for nearly 20 years and Catrina is the director for the site pastors at the four different locations that Kerith serves.

We have been building relationship with one another over the last 18 months or so and are so excited to be able to host Simon and Catrina for the weekend and hear all they will bring.

If you would like your baby/infant to be involved or for more information, please get in touch with Pete

Here are some confirmed details for our Governance and Vision meeting on Sunday 10th May (this Sunday) If you see yourself as part of our church community (even if you are new) we would love you to join us for this important meeting, this is not one to miss!

Timings - Come to church as normal and then stay on after church for lunch and for the meeting. We will finish our time together by 2:45pm.

Lunch - This will be a bring and share and all are welcome to stay, even if you are not staying on for the meeting after. We will put out some info on what to bring via small groups but if you are not connected into a small group feel free to just bring something savoury for the table (eg. plate of sandwiches, salad, crisps, sausage rolls etc).

Further details…

What is it about? - Our leadership team and trustees will be sharing some important updates on things like our vision, next steps for us as a church, changes to our leadership structures and teams, where we connect in to apostolically and our finances. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and we will also be praying together.

What about my kids? - Kids will join us for lunch but we are planning some extra activities and provision for our kids the rest of the time.

What if I am away that Sunday? – We will record this and make it available to those who can’t make it but please try to be there in person if at all possible!
