Thank you to all those who visited church today, it was lovely to meet some new people and hear your stories especially the lovely couple who were married in St Luke’s 52 years ago tomorrow. We hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did, especially the mock 12th century trials and demonstrations from the re-enactors. 🙏🏻

Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for a joy-filled confirmation service. It was wonderful to see church full of people who had come to support the candidates. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the refreshments and to those who helped set up and tidy up church. A joyful day for St Luke’s. Don’t forget to come and join us next Sunday between 1pm and 4pm for our heritage open day or to drop into Open Church on Saturday between 12 noon and 3pm.

Tonight all 20 of our candidates for confirmation (from both St Luke’s and St Chad’s) have come together for their rehearsal. We are looking forward to welcoming the Bishop of Lancaster who will be leading our confirmation service on Sunday. Please do be praying for our candidates as they prepare for this milestone in their journey of faith.
