Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for a joy-filled confirmation service. It was wonderful to see church full of people who had come to support the candidates. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the refreshments and to those who helped set up and tidy up church. A joyful day for St Luke’s. Don’t forget to come and join us next Sunday between 1pm and 4pm for our heritage open day or to drop into Open Church on Saturday between 12 noon and 3pm.

Tonight all 20 of our candidates for confirmation (from both St Luke’s and St Chad’s) have come together for their rehearsal. We are looking forward to welcoming the Bishop of Lancaster who will be leading our confirmation service on Sunday. Please do be praying for our candidates as they prepare for this milestone in their journey of faith.

Thank you to everyone who came along this morning for our joy-filled Back to School Sunday service. We continue to pray this week for everyone going back to nursery, pre-school, school, college or university as students or staff.

We are really looking forward to our confirmation service next week with 20 people confirming their faith in God. That means there are two services next week 11am and 4:30pm. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Well Done girls.

After their success at the gymnastics regional qualifiers in January, seven of our pupils travelled to the British Schools Finals in Stoke‑on‑Trent. With only one team from each region earning a place at the finals, the competition was incredibly tough.

They rose to the challenge and came out on top; Ripley’s gymnasts are now British Schools Gymnastics Champions!

The North West team also secured 3rd place in the regional event, with our team’s outstanding scores making a significant contribution.

Throughout the day, the gymnasts represented the school brilliantly. They were focused, exceptionally well behaved and delivered outstanding performances from start to finish.
