It’s been a BEAUTIFUL summer at Light Church! We’re so grateful for the sunny days, the summer hangouts and most of all the people we get to spend them with 🌳🌷☀️

Our faith and our relationship with God isn’t reserved for the highlights of our lives or the rock bottom moments… it doesn’t all of a sudden become relevant when something amazing happens and we want to express gratitude to God, or when we’re in a real mess and there’s no other way out than to trust God. Our faith is built in the everyday. Our relationship with God is strengthened when we wake up each morning, surrender our desires and give control over to Him.

God wants to meet us in our everyday.

A brand new identity and understanding of ourselves.
Jesus is the message; it is always and will always be about the person of Jesus.

Last week we wrapped on our latest teaching series based in the book of Acts. Starting with the ascension of Jesus in Acts 1 and ending with the Apostles’ prayer for boldness in Acts 4. Both the early church and the gospel spread throughout the first century like wildfire. God worked through a very unlikely and ordinary group of people, making them bold and reaching thousands through them. He wants to work through you too, no matter how ordinary or unlikely you are!

Our podcast is updated every single week, so if you haven’t already, head to where you listen to your podcasts and search us up! We pray it is helpful & challenging in your walk with Jesus this week!

WAIT, THEN GO.

We had a beautiful Pentecost gathering last Sunday and we wanted to mark it by creating something that will remind us to make space for the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. We gave out beeswax candles and encouraged the church community to spend 5mins everyday inviting the Holy Spirit to fill us before we go on with our day. Power does not come from within us, it comes from God. We have the opportunity to draw from a well deeper than ourselves.

Why not add this into your daily rhythm; wait… then.. go.

Pentecost Sunday

None of this was ever meant to be done in your strength…
Wait, Then Go.

IT’S TIME TO GET INTENTIONAL

Are you tired of living according to the rising and falling tides of emotions? Waiting for that elusive spark of motivation to take you closer to Jesus? In the Book of Acts, the early Church were actively devoted in their faith in Jesus and they witnessed God’s power in amazing ways. What’s is your next step? It’s time to get intentional about Jesus again!

For some helpful teaching around this, head to our weekly podcast (link in bio).

RESURRECTION SUNDAY ⛪️

“the Savior that we serve is not a Savior to be pitied. And our business is not to mourn and weep awhile beside a grave. Our business is to thank God with tearful reverence that He ever went into that grave. To thank God, with joy, that He ever went to that cross. To understand what that cross meant and means and understand what that burial means, and then understand what the resurrection means that placed a glorious crown upon all His sufferings.”
