Dear Supporters,

The June Food Bank collection will be next Tuesday, 9th June, 9 - 9.30am at Kirkcudbright Parish Church.

After another busy month, we are short of most things, apart from tea bags.
We are also very short of toiletries, both male and female: shampoo, soap, deodorant etc.

We remain grateful for your continuing support.

Best wishes.

Saturday 30th May, 10am-12pm
Kirkcudbright Parish Church Hall

Enjoy our coffee morning and catch up with friends.
Don’t forget our sales table of second hand and donated items.
All proceeds donated to Christian Charities worldwide.

During 2026 we are raising funds for Abernethy Barcaple’s Ukrainian Children’s Respite Fund.
“It was a joy to host our friends from the Ukraine again this year and to see both old and new young people enjoying Dumfries and Galloway and beyond. It was an extremely sad, and a hard, time when they left. Lots of hugs and tears on both sides realising the joy they had experienced, and the memories made but also the realisation of the situation they were going back to. Can I assure all of those involved in some way from organisers, fund raisers, donors, staff and friends, that you made a deep and lasting impact on these young lives which, I am sure, will last them a lifetime. Thank you.
Andrew – Interim Centre Director Abernethy Barcaple”

Over £42,000 was generously donated for the trip by both Abernethy Trust’s supporters and by people in Dumfries and Galloway local to the centre, to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, food and activities.

WORLD CHURCH COFFEE MORNING: MAY 2

The World Church coffee morning in the Church Hall from 10 am – 12 noon on Saturday 2 May will raise funds for our friend and church member Hamish Waddell.

Hamish will be returning to Uganda for a few weeks to continue his volunteer work for Suubi Lyaffe Centre, a centre for children with disabilities in the southern suburbs of Kampala.

‘Suubi Lyaffe’ translates to ‘Our Hope’ in English and supports disabled children with free physiotherapy and medication, as well as giving much-needed support to their parents and wider family.

All funds raised will be used to pay for treatments and the purchase of equipment.
Over the years World Church coffee mornings in Kirkcudbright have raised thousands of pounds for charities. They also aim to help the congregation and parish become more aware of the world-wide family of Jesus Christ to which they belong and hence: to experience and enjoy sharing in God’s mission on earth as partners with other churches in this work;
to promote worship, witness and service along with other churches and related organizations both here and overseas.
Future dates for coffee mornings this year are Saturdays May 2 and 30, August 29, October 30, November 7 and December 5.
