Central Fife Quaker Meeting

On Sunday September 13th, we'll be holding All Age Worship at the Old Kirk, Kirkcaldy, at 10.30am. AAW is slightly different from our usual meetings: it's semi-structured, with a theme and some activities that all ages can get involved in, but equally people are welcome to uphold the meeting in silence and stillness. The aim is for everyone to feel part of our community and our worship. Come and join us!

We heard ministry this morning about passion and renewal coming out of difficulty and disaster, like a phoenix from the flames (and the terrible wildfires in the Cairngorms and elsewhere were also in Friends' thoughts). The stained glass windows in the Old Kirk, where we meet, include fiery imagery too - on a theme of Pentecost, when the holy spirit descended like flames.

We're pausing our usual pattern of holding a planned All Age Worship on 4th Sundays, until later in the year. Watch this space for more details! In the meantime, please feel welcome to join us, whatever your age, at one of our regular meetings:
1st Sundays: Linburn Scout Hut, Abbeyview, Dunfermline 10.30am
2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays: Old Kirk, Kirkcaldy 10.30am

Our youngest Friend, age 4 months, captivated us all on Sunday as she gazed at the faces in a circle around her, at the Old Kirk's colourful windows, and at the picture book beside her.

Meanwhile in London, Quakers from all over Britain are meeting for our Yearly Meeting - an opportunity for Quakers to connect, learn and worship together.

We won't be holding our usual All Age Worship today, but there will be a Meeting for Worship at 10.30. We welcome people of all ages to join us any week - we don't have a formal 'Children's Meeting' but have a box of resources for children at the Old Kirk and plenty of space! Contact us in advance if you'd like more information.
