1st Kinross Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association

1st Kinross Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association is a Christian youth organisation 106 years old

1st Kinross Boys' Brigade and Girls Association is the oldest youth group operating in Kinross-shire with 97 years of active service. We cater for boys and girls from the ages of 5 up until 18 operating in three sections (Anchors - primaries one, two and three; Juniors -primaries four, five and six and Company - primary seven till age 18). We operate from Kinross Church Centre with our meeting night being a Friday evening (Anchors 6 - 7:15 pm; Juniors 7 - 9 pm; Company 7 - 10 pm). We operate the BB awards programme, based on three main areas: community, interests and physical. As well as award activities we also compete in local and national competitions (chess, badminton, table tennis, masterquiz, football, swimming, volleyball, basketball) as well as camping activities). In addition to this we now offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for those eligible for Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

We are looking forward to seeing all the old faces and hopefully some new ones too!

Just one week left until we start back

We look forward to seeing all our existing members and new faces as well next week!

It's just under 2 weeks until we start back for a new session.

This week we focus on each of the 4 sections in the Company.

Anchors P1 - P3 this is open to boys and girls looking to meet new friends and try new activities.

Juniors P4 - P6 this section is also open to boys and girls. Here the adventure begins with more exciting activities and competitions.

Company P7 - S3 summer camps and adventure days, along with the opportunity to enter National Competitions are just some of the opportunities open to young people in Company Section.

Seniors S4 - S6 alongside the camps and adventure days are is the chance to earn your Presidents' Badge and your Kings' Badge both Nationally recognised achievements for young people.

We have spaces in all 4 sections for young people to come and join us in the adventure!

After many years of coming 2nd to 1st Scone in Perth and District Battalion Drill Competition this years squad has managed to wrest the trophy from them by 1 point!

Already looking forward to next to see if we can retain the trophy.
