October and we have snow on the hills! Sometimes the seasons in our lives change unexpectedly.

Knowing that God is at the centre of it all provides us with peace that can not be explained.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

As the leaves turn, the evenings draw in and pumpkins appear everywhere, autumn is a beautiful reminder to slow down, notice the little things and give thanks for the season we're in. 🍁☕️

What are you thankful for this autumn? 🤎

His mercies are new every morning, do not forget it!

🍇🍎 FRUIT IN THE BIBLE 🍇🍊

Did you know fruit appears throughout the Bible as a picture of blessing, abundance, growth and spiritual character?

From grapes and figs to olives, dates and pomegranates, fruit is woven into the stories, teachings and imagery of Scripture.

🌿And Jesus reminds us that what grows in our lives matters:
“By their fruit you will recognise them.” 🍃 Matthew 7:16

A beautiful reminder that our words, choices, kindness and character can reveal what is growing within us.

🌱 What kind of fruit are you growing today?

🍂📖 Have you noticed the leaves turning yellow?

Autumn is a beautiful reminder that every season has a purpose. The trees let go of what they no longer need, trusting that another season will come.

🍁 What does Autumn mean to you?

If you were to explain Autumn using the Bible, which character, verse or chapter would you choose?

Perhaps it reminds you of Ecclesiastes 3:1:
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Maybe Autumn speaks to you of change, letting go, gratitude, preparation, or trusting God through the seasons of life.

Happy Sunday folks, Dewald was leading Communion today and we also celebrated a confession of faith!

Joy : Psalm 126 🛐

This passage reminds us of the :
Past : Memories & Histories ( write something from your history starting with ‘The Lord has..’🕣🕥🕦

Present : Agriculture, sowing seeds & seeing how they grow. 🌾👨‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾 ( what are you doing now to bring joy to your future?)

Future: *Dewald is coming back to talk about this part*

Find a strategy to eliminate the risks, and all disappointments in your life. This is where joy will emerge from.

Captivity: remember sometimes we are captives of our own personalities. 🧎‍♀️‍➡️The Lord should always play the primary part of our lives.
