We gather together on Sunday at 3pm to spend time thanking Leslie for his time with us as District Chair. It is looking to be a joyous occasion and we are excited to be sharing with you all.

The service is at Acomb Methodist Church, Front Street, YO24 3BX at 3pm. We are expecting the service to last 1.5-2hrs and there will be tea, coffee and, most importantly, cake available after the service. You will be highly encouraged to head outside to share in your tea and coffee to help with space but also because Acomb has a beautiful community garden. To find the garden you will head down the right-hand side of the church building.
There is a car park on site, but please only park here if you have a blue badge. There is also free on-street parking, and a free council car park a 5min walk down the road at Morrisons (Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited, Morrisons, 4 Front Street, York, YO24 3BZ).
Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to be in the main sanctuary space, but we will be streaming it into another room at the church. Please arrive early for a seat in the sanctuary space but do not arrive before 2pm as we will still be setting up. Some seats in the sanctuary space will have limited visibility, but a printout of the hymn words will be provided. If you arrive early, please also be prepared to hear the wonderful musicians at Acomb practicing.
Whilst we are thankful that it won't be as warm as it has been on Sunday, we will make sure that water is available before and during the service.
