Christ Church Riverside

Christ Church Riverside Christ Church Riverside in Hull is a family of people from all different backgrounds, ages and cultures We are an evangelical church.

Riverside Church is made up of a large group of people who are being transformed by Jesus Christ into people who love God, each other and their community. We are a multi-cultural family, from all walks and stages of life. This means we believe that the Bible is God’s authority on all matters of belief and behaviour and that the gospel of Jesus brings real hope and real change. We are part of the C

hurch of England. Our services are very informal, with a time of easy to understand teaching from the bible, some music ranging from traditional hymns to new songs, and plenty of time to chat and get to know people better. For young children we provide a creche, and for older children there is a fun-packed Sunday Club which runs for part of the service.

📅What's On This Week 📅
We are back with a bang! This half-term we have so much on, and so much to be sharing with friends and praying about. As well as our usual weekly groups, this week is a prayer week so we don't have life groups but we do have a prayer and praise evening on Friday. It will be an evening of biblical reflections and singing praise to our God, organised by our Transformed 20s and 30s group as they look to grow in service of the Lord and the church family. ⛪This Sunday ⛪
Join us on Sunday morning, 10:30 am at Parkstone Primary School, as we continue our sermon series in Titus! We are praying that through this series we will grow in love and service of the Lord and each other.
We'll have singing, praying, Bible reading and preaching, our Church Family Bible Slot and time for the children to go out to their groups for age-appropriate teaching.
Join us again in the evening for our Open House service at 6:30pm at St Mary's Sixth Form College. This service is specially designed to be accessible and understandable for people who have never been to church before.

As we work through the book of Titus on a Sunday morning, we have been focussing a lot on what a well-structured and Biblical church looks like, and also what Biblical and gospel-focused leadership looks like. We have a hard-working ministry team at Christ Church Riverside and we thank God for them. 📅What's On This Week 📅
Not only is this a bank holiday week, but it is also half term! That means that our usual midweek groups are not running. But! We still have our morning prayers on Zoom tomorrow (Weds) morning at 7:30am, this is such a great opportunity to connect with each other and come before the Lord with praise and petition. Then we have church as usual on Sunday morning and our Open House service in the evening.

📅What's On This Week 📅
As we hurtle towards half-term, it would be great to see people engaging in and benefitting from our midweek groups! As usual, it's a busy one. Join us at one (or more) of our ministries this week, whether that's JClub tonight for our primary school aged children, or Life Group on a Wednesday night or Thursday day time, or The Drop-In on a Thursday! There's so much to be getting involved with at Riverside and we'd love to see you there!
Also - swipe to see our members applying what we've been learning recently about inter-generation friendships in Titus. What an encouragement to look around yesterday and see so many people move outside of their normal groups to share in fellowship with young and old!

🙏 Monthly Prayer Meeting 🙏
Once a month at Riverside we meet together for our prayer meeting. This is such a great time of fellowship and seeking God's provision and blessing together. Every week, we meet together on Zoom at 7:30am to pray and then once a month we meet additionally at 12:30pm on Zoom as well. Prayer is such an integral part to church life at Christ Church Riverside and we love to share in that together.
We meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm for an hour of prayer at the Trafalgar Centre 🤗

It's another busy one at Riverside (pretty sure we say that every week, praise God!). See what there is you can be attending and what you can be praying for. God is so good to us and we have so many opportunities to grown in love for one another, love for the Lord and love for those around us.
