Christ Church Riverside in Hull is a family of people from all different backgrounds, ages and cultures We are an evangelical church.

Riverside Church is made up of a large group of people who are being transformed by Jesus Christ into people who love God, each other and their community. We are a multi-cultural family, from all walks and stages of life. This means we believe that the Bible is God’s authority on all matters of belief and behaviour and that the gospel of Jesus brings real hope and real change. We are part of the C

hurch of England. Our services are very informal, with a time of easy to understand teaching from the bible, some music ranging from traditional hymns to new songs, and plenty of time to chat and get to know people better. For young children we provide a creche, and for older children there is a fun-packed Sunday Club which runs for part of the service.

🏠 Open House 🏠
Join us this Sunday evening at St Mary's Sixth Form College for another one of our Open House services. This service will be specially curated for people who haven't been to church before, or haven't been in a while - so if you've been thinking about church but you're not sure where to start - 6:30pm on Sunday at St Mary's College is the perfect place! We'd love to see you there

🎈Community Fun Day 2026 🎈
What a hoot! Thank you to everyone who came to our Fun Day on Saturday, can confirm it was certainly a lot of fun. We had cake, candyfloss, bouncy castles, challenges and wonderful weather! Praise God for the way he provides what we need and that we connected with so many in our community. If you came along and want to know more, we'd love for you to come to our guest service on Sunday morning - more details to follow!

📅What's On This Week 📅
It would be great to see people engaging in and benefitting from our midweek groups! As usual, it's a busy one. Join us at one (or more) of our ministries this week, whether that's JClub tonight for our primary school aged children, or Life Group on a Wednesday night or Thursday day time, or The Drop-In on a Thursday! There's so much to be getting involved with at Riverside and we'd love to see you there!

As we work through the book of Titus on a Sunday morning, we have been focussing a lot on what a well-structured and Biblical church looks like, and also what Biblical and gospel-focused leadership looks like. We have a hard-working ministry team at Christ Church Riverside and we thank God for them. 🌊Baptism Sunday 🌊
This Sunday it was wonderful to witness Leah and Ethan publicly declare their faith in Christ and be baptised into our church family. As a congregation we vowed together to encourage and strengthen him as the years go on. Praise the Lord for his saving work on the cross!

🎈Community Fun Day 🎈

❓Fun, food, face paint, football, challenges and bouncy castles (too hard to alliterate them I'm sorry).
At Riverside we love to be part of the local community, and we love our Community Fun Days as a way to serve the people living around us and have fun with them! Do come along for some fun times - completely free of charge! Stay tuned for a throwback to last year to see what's in store.

⛪This Sunday ⛪
Join us on Sunday morning, 10:30 am at Parkstone Primary School, as we continue our sermon series in Titus! We are praying that through this series we will grow in love and service of the Lord and each other.
We are really looking forward to this Sunday’s service in particular because it includes baptisms and reaffirmations of baptism vows. Please be praying that it is a deep encouragement to the church family and a powerful witness to any guests who come along.

Joel has been our ministry trainee for 2 years and this week is his final week before he begins a new job! We are grateful for the way Joel has served us at Riverside and the hard work he has put in, and we are also grateful that he will continue as a member of our church family and continue to pour himself out in service amongst us.
