📖 WORD FOR TODAY
Ezekiel 9–10
✨ Never Take God’s Presence for Granted

📜 KEY VERSE — Ezekiel 10:18

“Then the glory of the LORD went out from the threshold of the temple.”

🌿 REFLECTION

Ezekiel 9–10 reminds us of the consequences of turning away from God. As the people continued in sin, God’s glory departed from the Temple, revealing the seriousness of their unfaithfulness.

Sometimes, we become so distracted by the world that we slowly forget God. We may still pray, attend Mass, or speak about our faith, but our hearts can grow distant from Him.

These chapters invite us to examine our lives honestly. Are we making room for God in our daily decisions? Are we living according to His teachings, even when no one is watching?

Let us not wait until we feel distant from God before returning to Him. Seek Him today, repent sincerely, and allow His presence to transform your heart.

📌 LEARNINGS / LESSONS

1. Keep God at the centre of your life. Never let worldly distractions take His place.
2. Examine your heart. Be honest about the areas where you need to change.
3. Do what is right, even in private. True faith is reflected in our actions.
4. Do not ignore God’s warnings. Listen to His Word and correct your path.
5. Return to God daily. Through prayer and repentance, renew your relationship with Him.

🙏 SHORT PRAYER

Lord, never let my heart grow distant from You. Help me recognize my sins, turn away from what is wrong, and remain faithful to Your Word. May my life always reflect Your love and holiness. Amen.

❤️ TODAY’S REMINDER

Do not let the noise of the world silence the voice of God in your heart. Stay close to Him, walk in His truth, and let your faith be seen in the way you live. ✝️

🌿 REFLECTION

Baruch 5 reminds us that God brings hope, restoration, and joy to His people. Even after times of sorrow and suffering, He promises to lead His people toward a new beginning and guide them in His light.

Baruch 6 warns the Israelites living in exile not to be deceived by idols. Unlike the living God, idols cannot see, speak, or save. These chapters remind us to place our trust in the Lord alone and not in things that take His place in our hearts.

In our daily lives, we may face uncertainty, fear, and distractions. God invites us to rise from discouragement, walk in His light, and remain faithful to Him above everything else.

📌 LEARNINGS / LESSONS

1. God brings hope after sorrow. Difficult seasons do not have to be the end of our story.
2. Trust in God alone. Do not allow material things or worldly desires to take His place.
3. Walk in God’s light. Let His Word guide your choices and actions.

📖 WORD FOR TODAY: Baruch 3–4
✨ Seeking God’s Wisdom and Walking in His Light

📜 KEY VERSE — Baruch 3:14

“Learn where prudence is, where strength, where understanding; that you may know also where length of days is, life’s light for the eyes, and peace.”

🌿 REFLECTION

Baruch 3–4 reminds us that true wisdom comes from God. The world may offer many paths, but God’s Word guides us toward truth, peace, and a life that pleases Him.

The people of Israel are reminded to seek wisdom and return to the Lord. Baruch 4 encourages them not to lose hope, even in times of suffering, because God has not forgotten His people.

📜 KEY VERSE — Baruch 2:11

“And now, O Lord God of Israel, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and with signs and wonders…”

🌿 REFLECTION

In Baruch 1–2, the people of Israel acknowledge their sins and recognize that they have turned away from God’s commandments. They humble themselves before the Lord, confess their failures, and ask for His mercy.

These chapters remind us that when we make mistakes, we should not run away from God. Instead, we should return to Him with sincere hearts, admit our wrongdoings, and seek His guidance. God invites us to repentance and reminds us that we need His mercy and wisdom in our lives.

📌 LEARNINGS / LESSONS

🌿 REFLECTION

Lamentations 3–5 describes deep sorrow, suffering, and the painful consequences of turning away from God. Yet in the middle of grief, Lamentations 3 reminds us that God’s mercy never ends and His faithfulness is renewed every morning.

Even when we feel broken, forgotten, or overwhelmed by life's struggles, we can still place our hope in the Lord. Lamentations 4 reminds us of the devastating effects of Jerusalem’s suffering, while Lamentations 5 is a heartfelt prayer asking God to remember and restore His people.

These chapters teach us that we do not need to hide our pain from God. We can bring Him our tears, fears, and disappointments, trusting that His mercy is greater than our failures.

1. God’s mercy is new every morning. No matter how difficult yesterday was, we can begin again with God.

📖 WORD FOR TODAY: Jeremiah 51–52

✨ God’s Justice, Faithfulness, and Hope

📜 KEY VERSE — Jeremiah 51:15

“He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.”

🌿 REFLECTION

Jeremiah 51 reminds us that God is powerful, wise, and just. No earthly kingdom or human power lasts forever; everything is in God’s hands. He sees injustice and, in His time, brings judgment.

Jeremiah 52 describes the fall of Jerusalem, the destruction of the Temple, and the people being taken into exile. It is a painful reminder of the consequences of turning away from God. Yet the chapter ends with the release of King Jehoiachin from prison, offering a small sign of hope amid suffering.

Sometimes life brings consequences, losses, and painful seasons. But even when everything seems broken, God has not forgotten His people. We must remain faithful, humble, and willing to return to Him.

📌 LEARNINGS / LESSONS

1. God is sovereign. No power is greater than the Lord.
2. Our choices matter. Disobedience can lead to painful consequences.
3. Stay faithful to God. Do not abandon Him when life becomes difficult.
4. There is hope after suffering. A painful chapter does not have to be the end of the story.
5. Trust in God’s wisdom. Even when we do not understand His ways, we can continue to trust Him.

🙏 PRAYER

Lord, help me remain faithful to You in every season of life. Give me wisdom to choose what is right, humility to repent when I fail, and hope when I face difficulties. Remind me that even in my darkest moments, Your mercy and faithfulness remain. Amen.

❤️ TODAY’S REMINDER

Even when everything seems lost, never lose your faith in God. He can bring hope out of suffering and guide you toward a new beginning.

📖 WORD FOR TODAY: 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Sunday, October 11, 2026 | Year A

✨ THEME: ACCEPT GOD’S INVITATION AND PREPARE YOUR HEART

📜 SUNDAY MASS READINGS

📖 First Reading: Isaiah 25:6–10a
God promises a feast for all peoples, the destruction of death, and the wiping away of every tear. He invites His people to rejoice in His salvation.

🎶 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 23:1–6
Response: “I shall live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.”

God is our Shepherd. He guides, protects, strengthens, and provides for us, even when we walk through dark valleys.

📖 Second Reading: Philippians 4:12–14, 19–20
St. Paul teaches us to remain faithful in both abundance and need. Through Christ, we receive strength to face every circumstance, trusting that God knows what we truly need.

✝️ Gospel: Matthew 22:1–14
Jesus tells the parable of the wedding banquet. The king invites many guests, but some ignore his invitation. The Gospel reminds us that God calls us to His Kingdom, and we must respond with sincere faith and a heart willing to be transformed.

✨ KEY VERSE

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” — Matthew 22:14

🌿 REFLECTION

Today’s readings remind us that God continually invites us to come closer to Him, but we must be willing to respond.

In the first reading, Isaiah gives us a beautiful promise: God will prepare a feast for His people and wipe away every tear. Whatever pain, disappointment, or difficulty we experience today, we can hold on to the hope that God has not abandoned us.

Psalm 23 reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd. Even when life becomes difficult, when we feel lost, tired, or afraid, He continues to guide us. We may not always understand His plans, but we can trust that He walks beside us.

In the second reading, St. Paul teaches us to be content in every situation. Life will not always be easy, and we may experience financial struggles, unanswered prayers, and unexpected problems. Yet our strength does not come from having everything we want. It comes from Christ, who sustains us through every season.

In the Gospel, Jesus speaks about a king who prepares a wedding banquet and invites his guests. Sadly, some ignore the invitation because they are busy with their own affairs.

Sometimes, we do the same. We become so occupied with work, responsibilities, personal ambitions, and worries that we forget to make time for God. We may remember Him when we need help but neglect prayer, the Holy Mass, and His Word when life becomes comfortable.

The wedding garment also reminds us that accepting God's invitation means more than simply saying that we believe. Our faith must be reflected in our actions, our kindness, our forgiveness, our humility, and our love for others.

God does not ask us to be perfect before we come to Him. He asks us to come with sincere hearts, to repent when we fail, and to allow His grace to change the way we live.

The question for us today is this: God has invited us, but are we truly making room for Him in our lives?

📌 LESSONS FOR TODAY

1. MAKE GOD A PRIORITY.
Do not allow work, worries, or personal ambitions to take God's place in your heart. Make time for prayer, His Word, and the Holy Mass.

2. TRUST GOD IN EVERY SEASON.
Like St. Paul, learn to trust the Lord in times of abundance and in times of need. Your circumstances may change, but God's love remains faithful.

3. GOD IS WITH YOU IN YOUR DARKEST VALLEYS.
Psalm 23 reminds us that we do not walk alone. Even when we cannot see the way forward, we can trust our Shepherd to guide us.

4. LET YOUR FAITH CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
Faith is not only about what we say or what others see. It is shown through our choices, our character, our forgiveness, and the way we treat people.

5. NEVER IGNORE GOD'S INVITATION.
God may call you through Scripture, prayer, the Holy Mass, or an opportunity to help someone. Keep your heart open and be willing to respond.

6. SHARE GOD'S LOVE WITH OTHERS.
Just as God's invitation is extended widely, we are called to welcome others with compassion, patience, generosity, and understanding.

❤️ TODAY'S REMINDER

You may be carrying worries that nobody knows about. You may be struggling with responsibilities, financial problems, unanswered prayers, or dreams that seem far away.

But remember: the Lord is your Shepherd, Christ is your strength, and God's invitation is still open to you.

Do not let the busyness of life make you forget the One who gives your life meaning. Come to Him not only when you are broken, but also when you are grateful. Not only when you need something, but because you love Him.

You do not need to have a perfect life to come to God. You only need a humble heart that is willing to listen, trust, obey, and change.

🙏 Accept His invitation. Trust His provision. Wear the garment of faith, humility, and love. And keep walking with the Lord in every season of your life.

🙏 CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for continually inviting me into Your presence. Forgive me for the times I have allowed my worries, responsibilities, and personal desires to distract me from You.

Teach me to trust You in times of abundance and in times of need. When I walk through dark valleys, remind me that You are my Shepherd. Strengthen my faith, transform my heart, and help me live according to Your will.

May my life reflect Your kindness, forgiveness, and love. Help me recognize Your invitation each day and respond with a sincere and obedient heart.

Lord, prepare me for the heavenly banquet You have promised. May I remain faithful to You and help others experience Your love through my words and actions.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏✝️

ACCEPT HIS INVITATION. PREPARE YOUR HEART. LIVE YOUR FAITH. SHARE HIS LOVE. ❤️

09/10/2026

Stay humble when life is good. Stay faithful when life is hard. Keep God at the center of everything. ✝️❤️
