Good morning everyone! Today, 6th September 2026, we will gather at 11am to celebrate the liturgy of the 23rd Sunday of the Year-A.

There is a special gathering after Mass today for the families of this years’ Reconciliation and 1st holy communion children.

The Gospel is from St Matthew
18:15-20

‘If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.’

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples,
‘If your brother sins against you,
go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone.
If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you,
that every charge may be established
by the evidence of two or three witnesses.
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church.
And if he refuses to listen even to the church,
let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Truly, I say to you,
whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Again I say to you,
if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask,
it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered in my name,
there am I among them.’

This Saturday evening (5th September 2026), join us for our 6.30pm Vigil Mass for the liturgy of the 23rd Sunday of the Year-A.

Confession is available from 5.45pm till 6.10pm.

This is Saturday 5th September, 2026 in the 22nd Week of the Year-A.

It is the Memorial of St Teresa of Calcutta better known to us all as “Mother Teresa.”

Our morning mass takes place at 10am. It is followed by a period of Adoration till 11am. During this time Confession is also available till 10.55am.

6:1-5

‘Why are you doing what it is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?’

On a Sabbath, while Jesus was going through the cornfields, his disciples plucked and ate some ears of corn, rubbing them in their hands. But some of the Pharisees said, ‘Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?’ And Jesus answered them, ‘Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him?’ And he said to them, ‘The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.

Today is Friday 4th September, 2026 in the 22nd Week of the Year-A.

You are welcome to join us for our 10am Mass this morning.

The Gospel is from St Luke
5:33-39

‘When the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast.’

At that time: The Pharisees and scribes said to him,
‘The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers,
and so do the disciples of the Pharisees,
but yours eat and drink.’
And Jesus said to them,
‘Can you make wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?
The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them,
and then they will fast in those days.’
He also told them a parable:
‘No one tears a piece from a new garment
and puts it on an old garment.
If he does, he will tear the new,
and the piece from the new will not match the old.
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.
If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled,
and the skins will be destroyed.
But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.
And no one after drinking old wine desires new,
for he says, “The old is good.” ’

Today is Thursday 3rd September, 2026 in the 22nd Week of the Year-A.

It is the memorial of St Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church (540-604).

Mass is at 10am-come and join us.

The Gospel is from St Luke
5:1-11

‘They left everything and followed him.’

At that time: The crowd was pressing in on Jesus to hear the word of God.
He was standing by the lake of Gennesaret,
and he saw two boats by the lake,
but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.
Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon’s,
he asked him to put out a little from the land.
And he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
‘Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.’
And Simon answered,
‘Master, we toiled all night and took nothing!
But at your word I will let down the nets.’
And when they had done this,
they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.
They signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them.
And they came and filled both the boats,
so that they began to sink.
But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees,
saying, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.’
For he and all who were with him
were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,
and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee,
who were partners with Simon.
And Jesus said to Simon,
‘Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.’
And when they had brought their boats to land,
they left everything and followed him.

Today is Wednesday 2nd September, 2026 in the 22nd Week of the Year-A.

The Gospel is from St Luke
4:38-44

‘I must preach to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.’

At that time: Jesus arose and left the synagogue and entered Simon’s house.
Now Simon’s mother-in-law was ill with a high fever,
and they appealed to him on her behalf.
And he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her,
and immediately she rose and began to serve them.

Now when the sun was setting,
all those who had any who were sick with various diseases
brought them to him,
and he laid his hands on every one of them
and healed them.
And demons also came out of many,
crying, ‘You are the Son of God!’
But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak,
because they knew that he was the Christ.

And when it was day, he departed and went into a desolate place.
And the people sought him and came to him,
and would have kept him from leaving them,
but he said to them,
‘I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God
to the other towns as well;
for I was sent for this purpose.’
And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
