UPDATE 1607: Garden Street has now reopened. Thank you to Ayrshire Roads Alliance and East Ayrshire Council for attending so promptly in response to our concerns. Garden Street (under the viaduct) has now reopened.

ACCESS TO ST JOSEPH’S CHURCH IS OPEN
even though roadworks are ongoing

Access to the Church is from the John Finnie Street direction.

Although the first left turn after the Railway Station under the viaduct is closed, stay in the left lane and keep driving past Mason Murphy furniture shop on your left and drive under the viaduct here. Then immediately turn into Hill Street on your left under the viaduct (even though a sign says “Road on left closed”. Proceed up Hill Street and drive through the barriers into the church car park.

ACCESS TO ST JOSEPH'S

A reminder that from today to Sunday 18th October (inclusive) Hill Street and a portion of Witch Road will be closed for resurfacing. It is still possible to access St Joseph's, but only from the bottom (train station) end of Hill Street.

Please allow extra time when travelling to the church.

Our Youth Evenings have returned and the whole team couldn't be happier to be welcoming so many young people back as we kick off our new season! We had a fantastic evening in all four clusters, welcoming a record number of young people across the Diocese in St Teresa's, Dumfries; St Joseph's, Kilmarnock; St Margaret's, Ayr; and St Peter-in-Chains, Ardrossan.

Everyone had a fantastic evening trying out new games, meeting new friends, and catching up with old friends too. Supper went down a treat with hardly a pizza left, and the young people enjoyed hearing a bit about the beginning of the Mass and forgiveness as part of the new series of evenings looking at the Mass.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back next month - so put the date in the diary, Sunday 25th October, and come along and be part of the fun!

A charity concert will be performed by the Aeolian Male Voice choir in St Joseph’s Church tonight (Tuesday 29th September) at 7.00pm.
Please come along and enjoy the wonderful choral music. There will be a retiral collection at the end in support of the Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust, Hillhouse Care and the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Your support will be greatly appreciated. Teas and coffees will be served in St Joseph’s Hall after the concert.

In the Universal Church, October is the Month of Mission, when we reflect on what it means to be missionary disciples. A series of four talks are being presented in St Matthew's Church Hall, Grassyards Road, Kilmarnock, on Thursdays 1, 8, 22, 29 October from 7.00 pm - 8.30 pm to deepen our adult understanding of the Mission which we are all called to fulfil through our Baptism. Please come along and invite others to join us. All are very welcome.
