Kilmarnock Salvation Army Kilmarnock Salvation Army is a warm, friendly and inclusive Community Church in Kilmarnock in West Scotland. Our meeting on Sundays is at 10.45am.

Kilmarnock Salvation Army Corps is part of the worldwide Salvation Army, a mainstream Christian Church present in over 100 countries and which has a distinctive image and style of worship. Our services are held in a relaxed atmosphere, with communal singing and contributions from our brass band and singing groups, and also, of course, an emphasis on prayer and Christian teaching. We also have:

- Home League, Mon at 2pm
- Bible Study Group, Thurs 1pm
- Community Drop-in and Foodbank, Thurs 11am-12.30pm
- Charity Shop in Bellfield
- Pioneers Group, Sat 10.30am

This afternoon our band, together with friends from Ayr, Glasgow City Centre, Parkhead and Govan, accompanied worship at Glasgow Churches Together (GCT) celebration of the Commonwealth Games at St Andrews RC Cathedral. Religious and civic leaders were present.
Captain Les (chair of GCT) opened the service in prayer and Captain Emma gave the message encouraging the congregation to view exercise as a spiritual tool.

A big thank you is due to all those who helped (whether voluntarily or otherwise!) sorting out our new chairs today (a relatively mild 23C here). A big thank you also to Carol Walsh, a much loved and missed soldier of the Corps who left us the money in her will to pay for them.
