Hello everyone,
What an incredible pilrimage we had this week in Lourdes with our 118 pilgrims from accross Galloway.
We were blessed with uplifting Masses and services with lots of sunshine and memories to last a lifetime.
A huge debt of thanks goes the Hospitalité team who play such a valued part in the preparation of our pilgrimage and their work on pilgrimage week. On behalf of them I'd like to thank all our medical and hospitalier members including Youth for Lourdes, without whom, our pilgrimage just wouldn't be possible. They go above and beyond the call of duty and work tirelessly to enable our assisted pilgrims to have the best experience possible.
I thank our clergy team led by Pilgrimage Director Fr Gerald Donnelly, who brings together our liturgies and spiritual programme; alongside Fr Jim Hayes leading the music ministry. Particular thanks goes to Bishop Frank Dougan who joined us to lead the pilgrimage for the first time, it was a great opportunity to get to know him better and see his love for Lourdes and Galloway shine through.
Finally I'd like to say thank you to our assisted pilgrims who make our pilgrimage so very special, they offer friendship to all and the trust they put in us to care for their particular needs knows no bounds.
I hope you all had a safe journey home this afternoon and are relaxing after a busy week, looking forward to seeing you again at the reunion.
Thank you all once again, God bless.
