Oxford දම් සරණිය - Oxford Meditation Programme Children can also join the weekly Sunday school conducted by the Mahamevnawa International Meditation Centre, UK through Zoom.

History
The Oxford Meditation and Dhamma programmes were started in January 2020 by the venerable monks of Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, the programmes were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and ceased for about two years, but were reinstated during the 2023 Rains Retreat Season, initially as a Dhamma Sermon series. Since then, it has expanded to a monthly Sil programme encompassing meditation sessions, a Dhamma Sermon series and a dhamma school for children providing a well-rounded spiritual education.

මාගධ දිව්‍යපුත්‍රයාට වදාළ දෙසුම

සාවත්ථියං....

සැවැත් නුවර .....

ඒකමන්තං ඨිතෝ ඛෝ මාගධෝ දේවපුත්‌තෝ භගවන්‌තං ගාථාය අජ්‌ඣභාසි.

එකත්පසෙක සිටි මාගධ දිව්‍යපුත්‍රයා භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේට ගාථාවකින් මෙය පැවසීය.

කති ලෝකස්‌මිං පජ්‌ජෝතා යේහි ලෝකෝ පකාසති භගවන්‌තං පුට්‌ඨුමාගම්‌ම කථං ජානේමු තං මයන්‌ති

“යම් කිසිවෙකින් ලොව බබළයි නම්, එබඳු ආලෝකයෝ ලෝකයෙහි කෙතෙක් ඇත්තාහු ද? මෙකරුණ අසන්ට භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ වෙත පැමිණි අපි එය කෙසේ දැනගනිමු ද?”

(භගවා);

(භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ) :

චත්‌තාරෝ ලෝකේ පජ්‌ජෝතා පඤ්‌චමෙත්‌ථ න විජ්‌ජති දිවා තපති ආදිච්‌චෝ රත්‌තිං ආභාති චන්‌දිමා අථ අග්‌ගි දිවාරත්‌තිං තත්‌ථ තත්‌ථ පකාසති සම්‌බුද්‌ධෝ තපතං සෙට්‌ඨෝ ඒසා ආභා අනුත්‌තරාති

“ලෝකයෙහි ආලෝක සතරක් ඇත්තේය. මෙහිලා පස්වැනි ආලෝකයක් විද්‍යමාන නොවෙයි. දවල් කාලයෙහි හිරු බබළයි. සඳ රැයෙහි බබළයි. ඒ ඒ තැන දැල්වෙන ගින්න දිවා රෑ දෙකෙහි බබළයි. ඒ බබළන සියල්ල අතර සම්බුදු රජාණෝ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ වෙති. මෙය අනුත්තර ආලෝකය යි.”

සාදු! සාදු!! සාදු!!!
