Cleeton Crafter have been working hard all this year to produce some lovely Xmas gift. Come and see us on our Xmas Stall at Parish Church of St Laurence church Ludlow Christmas Fair on Saturday 29th November from 10am-1700

The crafters of the nearby village of Cleeton St Mary will have a stall at our Ludlow Winter Festival craft fair. They're raising funds for urgent roof repairs at St Mary's Church.

There will be a range of handmade items on their stall, including those pictured here - crocheted Beatrix Potter figures and woodwork made from English timber.

You'll find their lovely creations at St Laurence's Church on Saturday, 29 November from 10am-5pm!

Fascinating folklore story for the local area. This would explain Giants Chair that is on top of Clee Hill
The Clee Hill Giant is a figure from local folklore. According to legend, the giant was said to have lived on Clee Hill, a prominent hill in the area. The stories often vary, but some common elements include the giant's enormous size and strength, as well as tales of his interactions with local people and the landscape.

One popular tale involves the giant being responsible for the creation of certain geographic features in the region, such as stone formations or hills, which he supposedly shaped during his exploits. In other versions of the story, the giant is depicted as a guardian of the land or as a figure who would terrorize local villages, demanding tribute or engaging in conflicts with those who trespassed on his territory.

The legend of the Clee Hill Giant, like many myths, serves not only as entertainment but also as a way to explain the natural world and instill a sense of wonder or caution in the people living in the area. This giant, along with other mythical beings in British folklore, reflects the human tendency to imbue landscapes with stories that connect communities to their environment and history
