As Christians we pray for all sorts of situations and there is no doubt that the news recently has been heartbreaking and concerning in many ways. But there are also times when the headlines hit closer to home and this is certainly one. Members of our parish have been at Big Church Festival and similar events all summer. Our prayers are certainly with Pastor Robert's family and the words of this song are deeply moving.

A heartfelt thank you to Luiza who has kindly donated her wonderful pen and ink drawing of St John's Church to us. Her artwork was created as part of an outdoor drawing competition, with her beautiful rendition of St John's winning 3rd prize. A copy can be seen displayed at Keynsham Railway station. **IMPORTANT DO NOT IGNORE!!**

This Sunday there is no 10.30 service at St John's. Instead we are taking church on the road as it as ALL PARISH SERVICE, 10.30am at St Francis' Church, Keynsham on Warwick Road.

This will be led by the wonderful Rev. Preb. Jan Knott who did a lot for the parish through the vacancy.

Parking is limited at and around the church so please either walk or park 5 minutes walk away, perhaps on queen's road and then walk. This way we can save the car park for those who have mobility challenges.

For those wanting holy communion, there will be a simple 8.30am communion service at St John's.

The following Sunday we will be back to our typical 9.15am and 11am service pattern and will be thinking about our vision and direction as a parish.
