Village Cream Teas — Volunteers Needed!
Hello everyone!
Now that we’re in June, it’s time to start planning our Village Cream Teas — always a highlight of the summer in Grafton!
We’ll be serving up cream teas on 5 Sundays in August:
2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th
I’d love to hear from anyone who can spare some time to help out — whether it’s for one Sunday or a few. We will be looking for servers, tea makers, washer uppers & driers, table clearers, etc. We won't need anyone on books as we will have a self-serve style display for those this year.

All ages are welcome! It’s always a fun, friendly way to spend a couple of hours with neighbours and friends and support the community..

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME for this Sunday’s service on the 24th May. It will be held at 12 Noon.

This Sunday’s Service will be a Service including a Baptism. Our Service will start at 12 noon not 11am.

This will be our weekly service but just including the baptism too.

We look forward to seeing everyone there for 12 noon.

On Sunday, 30th August, The HandleBards performance company will be presenting “As You Like It” in the gardens of The Manor House, Grafton Underwood, from 7pm - 9pm. Pedalling from venue to venue with all their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. This is an outdoor production, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into and dress for the weather! Doors open at 6pm. There will be a bar available and fundraising is in aid of St James’ Church, Grafton. Prices start at £17.50 for Early Bird Tickets.

Join us for a delightful Breakfast by the Brook in the heart of Grafton Underwood on Saturday 20th June 2026, from 10am to 12 noon, set against the beautiful surroundings of the village green. Enjoy a freshly prepared full English breakfast, including all the favourites, with tea and coffee included—all for £12, or grab a bacon bap for £6. With chairs and tables provided, it’s the perfect opportunity to relax, catch up with friends and neighbours, and soak in the peaceful village setting by the brook. This special event is being held to raise funds in aid of Grafton Underwood Village Hall, so come along, bring your appetite, and support our community.

This Sunday's service at Grafton is our Carols by Candlelight Service at 3pm on Sunday, 21st December. There will be mulled wine and refreshments served before the service to get us all warmed up! followed by carols and readings - all led by our very wonderful Revd Jez Safford. Everyone welcome to come and join in with the festivities.

Just over a week to go to the Fiori Musicali Concert in our beautiful church on Friday, 5th December, starting promptly at 6pm. Tickets available using the QR code attached includes Mince Pies and mulled wine! Bar available. This Advent Candlelight Concert will feature beautiful 18th-century music for baroque oboe and trumpet with voices and organ, including chorale preludes by the great JS BACH, as well as music by his rarely heard contemporary Georg Kauffmann and his pupils Ludwig Krebs and Gottfried Homilius.

Tickets are on sale NOW for the Youth Brass Concert on Saturday, 13th September. The band features young people up to the age of 19 from the local area. European Youth Champions 2018! National Youth Champion band 2025! 10 times Youth National Champion Band! They are well worth a watch. As usual we will be offering refreshments in the ticket price of just £12.50.
