a Wednesday evening.

St Giles Community Centre:
Our Community Centre is available and used throughout the week by our
Church Community and the wider Community. It is where we share coffee
after services throughout the week and on Wednesday mornings we hold our
Wellbeing Cafe - part of the North Northants Council Warm Spaces Scheme. Our other groups also meet here during the week including St Giles Board
Gaming Group (Mondays), Tiny Tots (Thursdays), Friday Family Fun (Fridays)
as well as our Ladies Craft Events, Breakfasts and Sunday Lunches. We are proud to have our Uniformed Groups based at the Community Centre. Our Scout group (3rd Desborough) all meet on a Tuesday evening - Squirrels,
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The Community Centre is also well used by our local community. Our large
hall holds weekly exercise classes, a monthly Tea Dance and other private
functions such as birthday parties and discos. The Community Centre is available to hire at an hourly rate:
Small Hall - £13 per hour
Large Hall - £16 per hour
Both Halls - £25 per hour

The annual Ride, Stride & Drive takes place on Saturday 12th September 10-6pm. St Giles is opening 10 am - 1pm with a big clean taking place. We need volunteers to welcome visitors - please get in touch if you can help.

It would be great if anyone, groups, families would take part cycling, walking or now even driving around and exploring as many of Northamptonshire’s churches as they can. A pleasant, fun day out raising money by sponsorship to provide grants for repairs and improvements for our county’s churches. Taking part enables us to receive 50% of the sponsorship money we raise. Bubble Church is back tomorrow and we shall be meeting in the Church for our TedFest Service.

We will gather at 10am with the main event starting at 10:15am. Please note there will be no refreshments before the service, Please do come along and hear from the puppets about how the good samaritan helped an injured man.

After the service there will be a bear hunt in the churchyard followed at 12 noon by a Teddy Bears Picnic so please bring along your own Teddy and picnic and stay and join us.

We will also be donating Teddy Bears to the Teddy Trust who will send them to a child living in a refugee camp, so if you can bring a teddy to donate we would be really grateful.

Bubble Church is aimed at children up to the age of 7, but older siblings are so welcome too, there will not be an older group this week as we shall all meet together in the church.

We then have a Teddy Cinema in the Church from 4:15-6pm where all teddies and their owners are invited to share a film with us 🧸
