Peterborough Cathedral will mark Baby Loss Awareness Week with a special service, a dedicated prayer station featuring new artwork, and a week-long illumination of the Cathedral.
Baby Loss Awareness Week, from 9–15 October, provides an opportunity to remember babies lost during pregnancy or infancy, and to acknowledge the experiences of those living with loss.
The Cathedral’s Baby Loss Awareness Service takes place at 6pm on Sunday 11 October, offering a quiet and supportive space for remembrance, reflection and prayer for anyone affected by the loss of a baby. All are warmly welcome at the service, and no booking is required.
Throughout the week, the Cathedral will be illuminated in support of the campaign, creating a visible symbol of remembrance and solidarity for families and individuals affected by pregnancy and baby loss.
A dedicated prayer station will also be installed near the tomb of Katharine of Aragon, offering visitors a peaceful place to pause, pray and remember.
