We'll be reading:

Matthew 8: 23-27

O praise ye the Lord
Jesus is lord
O the life of the world is a joy and a treasure
You shall go out with joy

6pm Space to Breathe
Reflective, informal service, starting with refreshments. We'll be thinking what it means to 'Follow Daily'.

Season of Creation

During September and into October, we will be joining Christians around the world in celebrating the Season of Creation – a time to give thanks for the wonder and beauty of God’s creation, and to reflect on our calling to care for it.

This year’s theme is ‘Living Water’, drawing on the wonderful biblical image of God’s river bringing life, healing and hope wherever it flows.

We will begin with a special ‘Festival of Creation in Christ’ Holy Communion on Sunday 6 September, followed by All Age Holy Communion on Sunday 13 September, when we will explore the theme of Living Water together in a more interactive way. We will then bring the season to a close with Holy Communion on Sunday 4 October, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi.

Through our worship, prayers and reflection, we’ll celebrate God’s good creation and consider the small ways in which each of us can help to cherish and care for the world we share.

Sisters and brothers from across the Helm Mission Community battled through the downpour to sing and worship together at our joint Songs of Praise at St Mark's on Sunday afternoon. We even had choc ices afterwards - it was a summer Bank Holiday week nd afterall!

Music was provided by Al’s Brass (c/o Kirkby
Lonsdale Brass) which lifted our celebrations to another level!

Our Sunday worship this week is our Summer Songs of Praise when we'll be singing with our friends from across the Helm Mission Community.

If the weather is good, we'll be out on the village green so please bring camping chairs, picnic blankets, etc - music and refreshments provided!
