It was do-it-yourself meeting in May at South Lakes Filling Station. Brian led us through the evening. Peter, Andrew and Rosie told stories of being delivered from anxiety, healing of a long-term situation and the recommitment of a relative to faith in Jesus.
Worship was led by Becca and Judy. Forest rather appropriately spoke about trees in the Old Testament which were thin places. In other words, where people met with God in blessing, righteousness and presence.
As usual the evening finished with prayer for those who wanted it.
Our next speaker on 18th June is the Bishop of Lancaster, Jill Duff. This promises to be a special evening. Do come.

Richard Fothergill gave us hope and encouragement at our April meeting. He did so by explaining from Matthew 24 that God is in control of our tumultuous world and its destiny. That destiny in the return of Christ. Richard’s message was that of Corporal Jones of Dad’s Army – “Don’t panic!”.
Tony and Emma gave testimony of the Lord’s deliverance from discouragement and unwarranted accusation. Hazel encouraged believers to pray in expectant faith.
Worship was led by Damien Scott and Judy Finlay. Prophetic words were given and the gifts of the Holy Spirit exercised to the glory of Jesus.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 16 April and our speaker will be our very own Richard Fothergill.
Richard leads the Filling Station nationally and internationally, and also helps his wife Jo to lead our own local group. He is an Anglican clergyman but works full time building up this important work of God.
He is just back from South Africa and will be full of enthusiasm as to what the Lord is going to do amongst us this year. Come and hear what he has to say.

Encouragement was the theme of March speaker Andy Hall. He told us that from Romans 12:8 we read that it is a gift of the Holy Spirit. He talked about encouragement being involved in the gift of prophecy and suggested that we all seek to be encouragers, especially of those in ministry.

Vibrant worship was led by Julie. Audrey gave testimony of how the Lord had drawn her into a deeper intimacy in her relationship with Himself and people were prayed with at the end of the evening. We went away encouraged.

Our speaker on Thursday 19 March is Andy Hall.

After graduating from London Bible College Andy spent 20 years with YWAM. For the last 15 years he has been in local church leadership. Anglican by conversion, conservative evangelical by theological training and charismatic by persuasion and practice, Andy brings a broad range of theological perspective and personal experience to bear in his travelling ministry.
He is based at Christchurch in Bridlington where he serves as an Associate Minister.
He travels widely across the UK encouraging and strengthening churches and their leadership teams. Andy is committed to a strong Kingdom theology, believing that the church owes the world an encounter with the signs and wonders ministry of Jesus and that God wants to release a Word & Spirit revival in the UK.
Come and hear what the Holy Spirit says through Andy.

A GREAT START TO THE SEASON

We enjoyed an powerful and anointed first meeting to the new season. Linda Robinson spoke powerfulIy on “Simply because…” about God’s loving kindness. There was also meaningful worship led by Becca and Judy. Forrest told how his nephew had come back to the Lord.
Pete gave testimony about the Lord delivering him from the need to take medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis pain. Many were prayed for in the ministry time.
The evening was a wonderful start to the new season. Praise the Lord!
Come and join us next time when we will hear Andy Hall from Bridlington. We had a very good time with Andy two years ago and we expect even more this time. Come and see what the Lord does.

We're back!
We start our new session on Thursday with local lady Linda Robinson.
Linda lives on the fringes of the Lake District
with her husband, Michael. She is Mum to three grown up
children and ‘Nanny Poppins’ to four grandchildren.
Linda has travelled extensively throughout the world on various
assignments for the Lord: preaching, teaching, interceding, and
ministering. Her main passion in ministry is to encourage
"GROWING IN KNOWING GOD", and helping to equip the saints to
fulfil Jesus' final command in John 13:34-35 (TPT): "So I give you
now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have
loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you
by loving one another, everyone will know that you're my true followers.”
We hope to see you there!
