As our communities have developed, young men and women have often felt frustrated that they have been unable to participate in the running of the community and shape its future. Abu Zahra Foundation has been instrumental in providing second and third generation Muslims space to provide relevant and effective educational programmes to ensure we can engage with young people, win over their hearts and minds, and deliver the eternal message of Islam. The Foundation is committed to the curriculum as it was found in the great teaching institutions of the Islamic Civilisation and an understating of Islam, which has been transmitted in an unbroken chain from the Prophet (peace be upon him) to our living scholars of Sunnah and Jama’.

Shaykh Muhammad Ibraheem graduated with honours from the Islamic Seminary of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Istanbul, in 2026 where he completed a five-year programme of traditional Islamic and Arabic studies under a number of senior scholars from Syria. His principal teachers included the renowned hadith scholar Shaykh Dr Mujeer al-Khatib, the theologian Shaykh Naadir Abu Umar, and the jurist Shaykh Khalid al-Kharsa, alongside other esteemed scholars.

He has been granted numerous ijazat across a range of Islamic sciences, including hadith and the laws of inheritance, as well as formal authorisation to teach the Islamic sciences.

Shaykh Ibraheem memorised the Qur’an in his teenage years and has served as an imam for Tarawih prayers in both the United Kingdom and Canada.

Fluent in English, Arabic and Urdu, he is passionate about making the Islamic sciences accessible to contemporary audiences while remaining firmly rooted in the classical scholarly tradition. His studies and experiences have given him a broad perspective and a deep commitment to serving diverse communities through teaching, guidance and community engagement.
