🌙✨ MAWLID GATHERING AT GHOSIYAH MASJID, KEIGHLEY ✨🌙
الحمد لله رب العالمين
On Monday 24th August 2026 / 12th Rabīʿ al-Awwal 1448 AH, Ghosiyah Masjid, Keighley held a blessed gathering in celebration of the Mawlid of our beloved Prophet Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ.
Alḥamdulillāh, it was particularly heartening to see a sizeable turnout of young brothers, gathering in the Masjid out of love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and to learn from his blessed life.
The evening included beautiful recitation of the Qur’ān, heartfelt Naʿats and Salawāt, followed by an inspiring English dars delivered by Shaykh Asid Shafait on the Qur’ānic description of the Prophet ﷺ:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
“And indeed, you are surely upon an عظیم character.”
[Qur’ān 68:4]
The Shaykh explored the profound meaning of خُلُقٌ عَظِيمٌ — Khuluqun ʿAẓīm, explaining how this was not merely a description of the Prophet ﷺ, but a living reality witnessed throughout his blessed Sīrah.
Through examples from the life of Rasūlullāh ﷺ, the gathering reflected upon his mercy, patience, forgiveness, generosity, dignity and beautiful conduct — and, most importantly, what his character demands from us as his Ummah today.
Love for the Prophet ﷺ is not simply something expressed with the tongue; it must leave its imprint upon our character, dealings, homes and communities.
The blessed evening concluded with further Naʿats and Salawāt, followed by Ṣalāt al-ʿIshāʾ and food for all those in attendance.
May Allah ﷻ accept the gathering, increase our love for His beloved Messenger ﷺ, allow our youth to remain connected to the Masjid and the Sīrah, and grant us a true share of the beautiful character of Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ
