The Parish of Jarrow and Simonside We are One Church in Four Places: congregations at St. John’s, St. Paul’s St. Peter’s & St. Simon’s. Our Parish Office is based in St. Thank you.

Peter's Church Centre, York Avenue, Jarrow, NE32 5LP and is open from 09.30 am until 12 noon Tueday to Friday. The office also has an answerphone which is checked regularly and can be reached on 0191 4891925.

Lord, I lift up my voice to honour and worship you.
To you, O Lord, I lift my prayer,
for the sick and dying,
the oppressed and all people in areas of war,
for widows and orphans and those separated
from their loved ones,
for the poor who have no food and no shelter.
You are Love and Peace, you are our Provider,
you are Father to the fatherless and
husband to the widows.
Lord, we believe and trust that with you
all things are possible.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Empowerment
Through the tangled web of life,
Lord, guide me.
Through the problems of the day,
stay beside me.
From the dangers of the world,
defend me.
When my loved ones slip away,
befriend me.
In the quiet of the night,
Lord, hear me.
And accept in prayer my thanks
for being near me.

This week we pray for the mission and ministry of
St Peter’s Church:
• For all the groups who use the hall during the week.
• For more people to volunteer to help with the day-to-day running of the church.
• For the staff and students of Jarrow Cross Primary, Bede Burn Primary, Valley View Primary and Jarrow Comprehensive School.
• For the worship and witness of St Peter’s Church, and particularly for Evening Praise as we seek to reach out to those yet to
encounter Jesus.
