Society of Divine Vocations - UK Delegation

From Monday until today, the UK Delegation gathered for their Annual Retreat at the Bridgettine House of Iver Heath.

The retreat is a time to renew the spirit and be ready for the mission, as the preacher Fr Andres Aragon, SDV, reminded everyone. This was a fruitful time of prayer, meditation, silence, fraternity and communion.

During today’s final Mass we also celebrated the Missionary mandate as Fr Jobin prepares to leave the community of Walsall to open the new community of the Delegation in Northern Ireland.

Today our Delegation gathered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham as part of the Vocationist Marian Year. We entrusted our prayers to Our Heavenly Mother and, inspired by her example, renewed our commitment to serve the Lord and His Church.

With immense joy, I inform you that today, April 30th, 2023, the IV Sunday of Easter, the sixtieth World Day of Prayer for Vocations, and the one hundred and ninth anniversary of the foundation of the Vocationary, the diocesan bishop of Pozzuoli, our diocese of origin, Mons. Gennaro Pascarella has signed the decree elevating the church-crypta of the Vocationary Deus Charitas in Pianura, where the body of Saint Justin Russolillo is kept, to "DIOCESAN SHRINE".
Our Saint Justin has the first shrine dedicated to him.
Let us rejoice and exult! The Holy Trinity continues to accomplish great things for us!
