Celebrating 325 Years of Dissent - The Unitarian Meeting House in Ipswich
From 11am on Friday 17th May 2024 the Meeting House will be open for free conducted tours with a registered tourist guide and members of the congregation to answer any questions.

From 1pm to 5pm the Suffolk Records Office at the Hold in Ipswich (131 Fore Street, IP4 1LR) will be displaying all the Meeting House archives and records securely for view.

There will be two presentations in the afternoon at the Hold starting at 13.30 –
‘We are now in the Tabernacle of Meeting the Origins and Founders of the Ipswich Unitarian Meeting House’ by Minister Emeritus Rev Cliff Reed.
‘A Comet in the System - Joseph Priestley and the Emergence of
Rational Dissent in the Eighteenth Century` by Dr Elizabeth Kingston Harrison.
Refreshments will be provided at the Hold.
