All Hallows Church Eco Tip for June:
"They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze." (Genesis 3:8)

I wonder how often we get out simply to enjoy God's creation? The Bible verse above says God did! To walk quietly round our garden, perhaps, noticing what's changed. Or to explore our local park with a friend or family and wonder at the beauty of wild flowers? Walking in green areas improves physical fitness, reduces stress and boosts mental well-being. What's not to like about that!?

It's a great time of year to look out for butterflies too - Holywells Park is good for that. Our parish has lots of places to explore - Nacton shores is another (see pics below)

Or maybe venture a bit further? On Sunday 14th June from 2pm - 4pm we're doing a gentle walk round Newbourne Springs (IP12 4NY), a Suffolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve, with the option of a drink or more at the Fox pub afterwards. Why not come and join us? Perhaps we'll hear a nightingale?!

You might be wondering what these 3 images have in common...the answer is All Hallows Church, this bank holiday weekend! On Friday night, join us for Bingo at 7pm in the church hall...cash prizes to be won, a raffle and refreshments, and all in support of a good cause, helping the church fundraise. On Saturday morning, join us bright and early 8am-9am for a birdwatch in the church grounds, followed by bacon butties in the hall. And on Sunday we celebrate Pentecost with a very special service at 10:30am featuring our very own BlesSINGs children's choir! Come and support our choir as they sing in front of people for the very first time, and help us ponder what Pentecost means for us today. 10:30am in All Hallows Church. Have a great bank holiday weekend!

At All Hallows Church we are committed to making our outside space a wonderful place for both nature and people. A big thank you to the Guides for their donation of flowers and encouraging messages in their random acts of kindness initiative. And a big thank you to our volunteers who planted them up. Every month, on the 2nd Monday 2pm-4pm our Wilder Churchyard group meets to do some gardening, tidying of the grounds, and, of course, share a cuppa! Would you like to join us? Or perhaps you know someone who would benefit from coming along that you could share this with. All ages and abilities welcome
