Easter Sunday s a day of great joy, worship, and new beginnings for Christians. It commemorates the time that Jesus, following his death on the cross, rose from the dead.
By doing so, he showed that he really was the Son of God and that death is not the end of everything - two things that are fundamental to Christian belief.

Join us for worship this Easter Sunday, either at our hall at 10:30 or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com//streams. If you can't join us on YouTube at 10:30 you can watch at any time later

Good Friday is remembered as the day that Jesus, believed by Christians to be the Son of God, was arrested, and then executed by being nailed to a wooden cross .

Jesus was innocent of any crime but ,In his death, Jesus took punishment for all the sinful things people do so that all people can experience the goodness and the love of God. It is almost impossible to see anything good in such a tragic event. Yet, for Christians, Good Friday sits at the very heart of the message of Jesus: a message of sacrificial love, forgiveness and hope.

Christians confidently call this day ‘good’ because they believe that, although Jesus died, he later rose again. It was in the death of Jesus that God demonstrated his immense love for humanity, as it allows us to know God and his love personally.

Join us for worship this Good Friday, either at our hall at 10:30 or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com//streams. If you can't join us on YouTube at 10:30 you can watch at any time later

The Thursday of Holy Week commemorates the Last Supper that Jesus had with his disciples, where he washed their feet as an example of humility and service. He also shared bread and wine with them to represent his body and blood. Some Christian churches remember these acts by also sharing bread and wine that has been blessed.

Wednesday of Holy Week is sometimes known as 'Spy Wednesday'. It commemorates the time when one of the disciples, Judas Iscariot, agreed to betray Jesus to the religious authorities for thirty pieces of silver, eventually leading them to him in the garden of Gethsemane. Later, Judas very much regretted this betrayal.

Today is Palm Sunday, which marks the start of what Christians refer to as 'Holy Week'. Palm Sunday commemorates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem when has was greeted as a king by celebrating crowds. However, unlike many kings, he rode in on a donkey - which was a traditional sign of peace and humility. Later in the week, many in Jerusalem would turn against him and demand his crucifixion.

We are gradually getting to better understand the new audio equipment we have for our live stream but we know it's not yet as good as we would like it to be for everything that happens in our worship.
It would be really helpful if you could let us know in which parts of the meeting the sound was good for you and in which parts it was a problem for you. You can do that by commenting on this post or by sending an email to [email protected]. We would also welcome any other feedback on our online worship. We will try to respond to any comments or emails.

In a few weeks time we, like many other Christian churches will be celebrating Easter. The dates and times of our meetings are on the poster and, if you live locally, you'd be very welcome at any of them. We will be live steaming all of our meetings on our YouTube channel, unless the technical gremlins strike again.
The only event that won't be on YouTube is the Maundy Thursday supper and reflection as we don't yet know how to send food over the internet! If you plan to come to this, you will need to sign the sheet on our foyer notice board or phone us on 01473 270009 to let us know that you plan to come.

Our audio problems this morning turned out to be worse than we thought. When we checked the recording there was no sound on it at all so we haven’t been able to put this week’s meeting on YouTube. We’ll try hard to get it fixed by next Sunday.

We have a few audio problems this morning so we won’t be able to stream our meeting live. We’re going to record, fix the problems in the recording and put it on YouTube later. We’ll let you know when it’s available.
