“Come home.”

Following Sunday’s baptisms, Alasdair reflected on the closing moments of the Parable of the Prodigal Son. While there was celebration on earth and celebration in heaven, the story ends with the father standing outside, appealing to his older son to come in and join the feast.

It’s a picture of God’s heart towards us. His invitation is open. His arms are open.

No matter where you’ve been or where you find yourself today, Jesus says you can come home.

What a joy it was to celebrate baptisms together on Sunday.

It was wonderful to witness these stories and rejoice together as a church family.

We concluded the day with a message from Luke 15, where Alasdair spoke about the Prodigal Son and the wonderful truth that wherever we find ourselves in life, we can always come home to God. He is a loving Father who waits for us with open arms.

Please continue to pray for those who were baptised as they continue to follow Jesus.

We would love 🫶 for you to be with us at our services this Sunday. During both the morning and evening services, we will be celebrating believers Baptism. We thank God for the incredible privilege of baptising Barry, Dan, Ryan, and Stephen as they publicly profess their faith in Christ.
Please pray that God would pour out His grace upon them — bringing assurance, strength, and equipping as they take this important step of faith.

When we feel weak, fearful, or close to giving up, the answer isn’t found in trying harder to manufacture stronger faith. The answer is found in seeing Jesus more clearly.

As Christians around the world remember Pentecost, may we continue to grow in our understanding of who Christ is and all that He has done.

This weekend, Janet Logue will be taking on the Edinburgh Marathon to help raise funds for our upcoming mission trip to Romania. 🇷🇴🏃‍♀️

In July, six women from our church will travel to Casia Harului in Romania to lead a camp for autistic young people and their families. Many of these families live in extreme poverty, and for some it will be their very first holiday experience.

If you would like to support the trip and Janet’s marathon challenge, there is still time to donate via the JustGiving page below.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already supported the team through prayer, giving, and encouragement.
