We welcome Archbishop William Nolan to the Cathedral this Friday (4 September) at 7:30pm to speak about Pope Leo’s first apostolic exhortation, Dilexi Te.

The title of the talk is 'Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and will be repaid in full' (Proverbs 19:17) and the event is organised by the Friends of the Cathedral.

Dilexi Te is a unique exhortation as it is the work of both Pope Francis and Pope Leo. It concerns Christ's love for the poor and the call for the Church to renew its commitment to those most in need.

You can read Dilexi Te from the link in the comments section.

Please let Friends of the Cathedral know that you can come by emailing [email protected]

A slight side-adventure as a one-off this summer, as we follow St Fillan in the second of our summer series. This is a multi-day walk along the Fife Coastal Path and it is possible to walk as many sections as you like. The sections are:

13th August: Fife: Forthview, St Fillan's Parish Church, Aberdour to either Burntisland or Kirkcaldy

14th August: Kirkcaldy to Leven

15th August: Leven or Elie to Pittenweem

The first section has an additional end point at Burntisland for those who might like a shorter walk.

The final section will have an additional joining point at Elie Beach for those who might like to undertake a shorter pilgrimage and still join us for the Ecumenical Eucharist in St Fillan's cave at the end.

Registration is open now: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/GTHM or send a WhatsApp message using the button below.
