Sunday 7 June 2026

Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, commemorating the real presence of Christ in the Mass (also known as the Eucharist or Holy Communion), which sustains us in the messiness of our everyday lives.

Love the people,
Love the Eucharist,
And try to be good.

(Brendanus Scottus)

Sunday 31st May was Trinity Sunday, celebrating the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and therefore Holy Trinity Church Ilkeston's patronal feast. Fr Max Marsh presided and Bishop Roger Jupp preached the sermon.

You can see a copy of Rublev's deeply symbolic icon of the Holy Trinity to the left of the tabernacle, depicting the Holy Trinity by representing the Biblical scene of three angels appearing to Abraham at the Oak of Mambre.

We were delighted to be joined by members of the congregation from our sister church St Laurence Church Long Eaton.
