Adam St Church of Christ We have confidence through his death and resurrection that we too might be joined with him in the fulfillment of the Kingdom promises.

Meeting Times
Sun - 10:30am Sunday school/Bible study
11am - service including communion
Tea, coffee and biscuits after service We are a church that believes in the authority of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, which leads us through the story of God's creation and redemption of the world through his only son, Jesus.

We only need to have faith enough to follow His instruction to the best of our ability: To Believe, Repent, Be Baptised in full immersion which is the imagery of being buried with Christ (Mark 16, Romans 6). Which then a helper is given - the Holy Spirit - living and dwelling in us. We look forward to when Christ returns and restores us in a bodily resurrection (1 Cor 15).

Isaiah 49-55 "Wounded Servant"

This Sunday, we will attempt to cover another chunk of Isaiah. If you get a chance to read chapters 49-55 beforehand, it would help you with context.

In chapters 40-48, we saw how God is Sovereign, He is in Control of world events, and a greater source of knowledge than things we create for ourselves and depend on.

In this next section God reveals how he will save his people through a suffering servant.

The Future Hope
The next section of Isaiah to cover is the third major point from chapters 40-66. We will attempt to cover 40-48 or as many chapters as we can fit in 30minutes. As you read ahead:

-See how often God compares himself to the manmade idols.
-See what promises God is giving to his people.
-What verses stick out to you that offer encouragement and confidence today?

Thank you for letting me teach this, as I'm gaining so much more knowledge of Isaiah and how it fits within the total biblical story, than when I just read through it. Hopefully, I can portray some of what I've garnered.- Aaron

Well it was a chilly one today, when we arrived at the building the heating had brokenšŸ„¶ Since several of our members were away we gathered in the classroom with a couple of heaters for warmth along with blankets and warm drinks. We had a lovely meeting worshipping and praising God together. And Paulos was able to fix the heating for us so our warm space can still go ahead tomorrow from 11-3pm... we hope you can join us!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our toy service this evening and gave so generously. Lots of beautiful toys to be shared to families in this area by Home-Start Erewash. Hopefully there will be some happy kids on Christmas morning!
