Hello everyone.
Hoorah, warmth has returned.
1. The Parish website is in transition from a civilian service provider to the Diocese providing the service at about 25% of the previous cost. But, this leaves me with no access to our former website (and you won't be able to access it either) and so I cannot provide links to Parish notices at the moment and for a few weeks.
THIS WEEKEND AND THE COMING WEEK
1a. Sat 13 June Marriage & Family Life Event,
9.00am - 4.30pm in Hythe, more details in the bulletin.
Booking is essential , via: [email protected].
1b. No Prayer & Praise this month.
NEXT WEEK
2a. There will be a Second Collection over the weekend 20/21 June, the Day for LIFE (not 13/14 June, error on Bulletin) dedicated to support the Sacredness of Life.
2b. Sat 20 June - Our Parish's mid-Summer celebration at
St. Monica's - A Quiz Night & "Fish n Chips" Supper, starting at 6.30pm. £10 per person - book early to avoid disappointment, numbers are limited - and I understand Sunday 14 June is the closing date to allow for ordering the Fish n Chips. Full details on the reverse of the current Bulletin.
2c. Here's the link to Romney Marsh Community Hub's What's On page. https://rmch.org.uk/whats-on/

3c. Catholic Association's 125th Birthday Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
Archbishop John Wilson invites you to join the Catholic Association's 125th birthday Pilgrimage to Lourdes from
21 -28 August.
You can support us by coming yourself (with friends and family too?), by helping another who might benefit from a week in Lourdes, by contributing to our fundraising initiative, the 125 Fund, and by praying for us and for all of those who take the pilgrimage to Lourdes.
In whichever way, we would love you to be fellow pilgrims in our 125th birthday pilgrimage.
Our Lady of Lourdes' invitation is to all, whatever their health, whatever their wealth.
The Catholic Assoiciation has for 125 years facilitated that invitation. Long may that continue - join us in August@: https://www.catholicassociation.co.uk/join
Our Parish Representative for the Catholic Association Lourdes Pilgrimage is Simon Fisher, if you are interested, please TEXT Simon on 07799-633106 or speak with him after Sunday Mass in Hythe.
4a. His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has just issued a most important Encyclical letter " On Safeguarding the Human person in the time of Artificial Intelligence"
On the reverse of the current Bulletin are some key points and there will be more in coming Bulletins.
The church is in the lead of all other world institutions in so minutely looking at the potential effects of AI on humanity.
Should any of you wish to read the Encyclical, here is the link:
https://www.vatican.va/.../20260515-magnifica-humanitas.html
The Introduction and Chapter 1 are an introduction and review of Social Doctrine from Leo XIII to the present (paras 1 - 45).
Chapter 2 - "Foundations and principles of the Social Doctrine of the church ( paras 46 - 89).
Chapter 3- " The Grandear of Humanity in Light of the Promises of AI" (paras 90 - 130)
Chapter 4 - " Safeguarding Humanity at a time of Transformation. Truth, Work , Freedom ( paras 131 to the end).
That's all for this week,
Enjoy your Summer reading
God bless
Anne
