37 years ago this evening, our founder Fr Martin Chambers was ordained a priest for the RC Diocese of Galloway in St Mary’s Irvine. We remember Fr Martin today and we pray for more vocations in our diocese and throughout Scotland🙏

The summer holidays may be coming to an end, but Galloway Youth have one last fantastic event lined up before going back to school... it's their 2026 Summer Youth Gathering and it takes place in St Joseph’s Church, Kilmarnock this Saturday (15th August) from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. The day is open to all young people going into P5-S4 and is completely free of charge.

Over the course of the day, young people, led by their S3/4 Junior Leaders, will take part in a wide variety of games and activities, including old favourites and a few new one's they've found over the summer! They'll also hear two short talks on the theme of the Saints, focussing in particular on St Maximilian Kolbe., whose Feast Day falls this week. The day also includes lunch (pizza and a BBQ), and Mass.

Fr Jude and other members of the Spiritan community visited Bishop Frank this afternoon for tea and a chat. It was a lovely opportunity to share with them what a tremendous gift to the Diocese our Spiritan brothers are.
