A reminder that there is not a service in All Saints, Sawtry tomorrow but rather we meet together for worship in St. Giles, Holme, where our service of Holy Communion begins at 9am.

Or you may prefer to join us at 4pm in St. Nicholas Glatton for our informal service of praise and worship (refreshments served from 3pm.)

🎓 GCSE Results Day – Whatever Comes Next… 🎓

Today might feel like a pretty big crossroads.

For some of our young people, GCSE results mean heading back through the school gates into sixth form. For others, it’s off to college, starting an apprenticeship, combining work with training, or taking a completely different route.

And that’s the exciting bit — there isn’t just one road to a brilliant future.

We hope that everyone from Youth Space and our wider church family opening their results today gets the grades they were hoping for. If you did — celebrate them! You worked for those results and you should be proud of yourself. 🥳

But if there’s a number on that page you really didn’t want to see, remember this:

It’s a number. It isn’t you.

It doesn’t measure your kindness, creativity, determination, sense of humour, the friend you are, or the person you’re becoming. And it certainly doesn’t get to decide everything that happens next.

Sometimes the road ahead goes exactly where we planned. Sometimes there’s an unexpected turning. Sometimes we end up on a completely different road altogether.

Whichever way your journey goes from here, God goes with you. 💛

And your church family is here too. If today leaves you excited, confused, disappointed, relieved — or with absolutely no idea what you want to do next — come and talk to us.

Today is a crossroads, not a finish line. Your story has a lot more chapters to come. 🌱

A Prayer for Holme Fen

God of creation and compassion,
we pray for all who are working to bring the fire at Holme Fen under control.
For firefighters and emergency teams,
for farmers and volunteers offering help,
and for those anxious for their homes and land.
Grant safety to those on the front line,
strength to those who support them,
and comfort to all who wait and watch.
In your mercy, bring renewal to the land,
and strength & wisdom to all who will work for its recovery.
Amen.

The churches of the Fen Edge Benefice wish to express heartfelt thanks to all those responding to the fire at Holme Fen - the firefighters, emergency services, local farmers, volunteers, and local businesses who have worked tirelessly to contain the blaze and support one another.

We are deeply grateful for the courage and endurance shown by crews from across the country, and for the extraordinary generosity of our local communities. We continue to hold in prayer all who are affected, and we give thanks for the teamwork and compassion that have shone through these difficult days.

Thanks all that came tonight to our first Adults sawtry screen @ all saints.

It was a great film.

Our next films are in September but, if you want to see one before that Sawtry Methodist Church have a film on the last Friday of the month so pop along to that as well.

It’s really lovely that we are able to have our community cinemas and we hope to see you next month.

🎓 A-Level Results Day! 🎓

A big shout-out to all our young people from Youth Space and our wider church family getting their A-Level results today. 💛

We really hope you get the results you’ve been hoping for — and if you do, celebrate! You’ve worked hard for them! 🥳

But if today doesn’t quite go the way you wanted, remember: those letters on a piece of paper do not define you. They don’t measure your worth, your talents, your kindness, or everything you have ahead of you.

Whatever today brings, God is still with you and His plan for you hasn’t changed. 🙏

And so are we. If you need a chat, a rant, a prayer, some help working out what comes next, or just someone to listen — get in touch. There are plenty of people in our church family who would be very happy to be there for you.

Whatever is in that envelope or on that screen today — you’ve got this. 💛
