Ever wondered what it looks like inside the Lindley Clock Tower? Now is your chance to find out!

We are thrilled to announce a special Heritage Open Day for this 83-foot, Grade II* listed Art Nouveau masterpiece, designed by the renowned architect Edgar Wood.

Commissioned by James Nield Sykes to serve the community, the tower is a stunning feat of design. Visitors can see the intricate clock mechanism, and take in views of the area from the top of the tower.

This is your rare opportunity to see this iconic Huddersfield landmark from the inside.

📅 DATE: Saturday 12th September ⏰ TIME: 10am – 2pm 📍 LOCATION: Situated at the junction of Lidget Street and Daisy Lea Lane in Lindley. 🎟️ ENTRY: FREE! ✅ NO BOOKING REQUIRED - Just turn up!

Please note: These open days are incredibly popular, meaning queues are likely and the queue will need to be closed between 1:30pm and 1:45pm. Visitors can expect to scale the steps of this historic structure. Donations to the Lindley Community Group are welcome on the day to help support the ongoing work in the village.

A reminder that tomorrow is the welcome service for our new superintendent minister, Dawn, at Almondbury Methodist Church at 10.30am. Or on Zoom either from home or at Lindley Methodist Church.

On 5th of September it's our Saturday Marketplace from 10 - 12. There will be all the usual things, including the most important coffee and company. Also we have a significant amount of crafting material which is being sold for Yorkshire Air Ambulance . Photos of some of it is below but there is a lot more. This is not for children, more for serious crafters. If you know any crafting groups or individuals who may be interested, please tag them in the comments.

This Saturday (August 1st) is Yorkshire Day. You will get a warm Yorkshire welcome at our Saturday Marketplace from 10am to midday. Bring your recycling (aluminium foil, ink cartridges, spectacles, batteries and probably other stuff I can't remember!). The police will be there offering advice plus we have stalls - Weleda products, fairtrade goods. The prayer table will be available plus we have good coffee and lots of friendly people to chat to.

Don't be a stranger, come and join us, ALL are welcome.
